This is a brand new cube!

A custom made format or game-mode inspired by 7 Wonders and the Whacky Races format.

Players start with 10 cards in their hand. 7 cards from the Age deck and 3 cards from the shared library.

Players take turns playing cards from a shared tableau of cards with the following ruleset:

  • Players do not draw card(s) during their draw step.
  • Players have a shared library that they draw cards from (consisting of instants).
  • On a player's turn they must choose to either play 1 card from the tableau or discard a card from the tableau and create a treasure token.
  • Token cards in the tableau cost 0 mana to play.
  • Cards in players' hands cost 1 colorless mana regardless of the mana cost printed on the card.

Win/loss conditions:
A player has 0 or less life.
A player runs out of cards in their hand, they lose.
A player with 13 or more cards in their hand wins.
A player gets 10 or more poison counters.

Contents:
23 Age I cards
23 Age II cards
20 Age III cards

Additional rules:
Scry - reworked: Scrying in this format works differently than in a normal game of magic. Scry now reads: Scry X (Look at X face-down cards in the tableau, you may one at a time reveal a card you looked at and swap its position with a card from under it.)

Mana cost: Mana costs can be paid by tapping lands as normal. However if an opponent controls a land that produces colored mana, you may spend 2 life for each land of that type your opponent controls to add 1 mana of that color to your mana pool. This mana can only be spent to pay colored mana in a card's mana cost.

Damage: For every 3rd point of life a player loses, they must choose and discard a card from their hand.
