My take on the desert cube concept. The cube is drafted with 3 packs of 18 and the caveat that players do not get to add basic lands to their decks at the end of the draft. All lands must be taken during the draft.

Mechanically, the cube is built around the idea of limited resources. Most of the available lands either enter tapped, add colorless, or require a life payment to add mana. Many other cards in the cube have effects that require players to discard cards, sacrifice permanents, or pay life, with very few ways to recoup these resources in the cube.

Flavorfully, the cube is built around a desert/wasteland theme, with most cards in the cube plausibly fitting in that setting.
