Chess Cube

Introduction:

The Chess Cube (or Artifact cube) is a 250ish cube based on the concept to make board states as complicated as possible with highly synergistic cards. For this thema, we created an artifact base and anything synergizes well with it. The cube can be drafted up to 4 people but is designed to be played with 2 people really well.

Themes:
Feel free to look at the list of cards to discover the themes yourself.
However, if you would like any guiding in the archetypes possible in the format, here is a short overview of what is possible in the cube:

Draft types:

2 Player Grid Drafting:

The best format to draft the cube with is a grid draft. You draft a total of 45 cards. In order to get these cards you need to create a grid 9 times. What does this mean? For each grid you do the following. Each player receives 5 cards that are only known to them (see this as some sort of mini booster). Then lay down a grid of 9 cards, open to both players. Determine who is the starting the player. That player may exchange a card from their hand for a card in the grid. Then the other player may do so. A player can exchange a max of 3 cards per grid. If they ever decide to pass, they are out for trading that grid. Of course, you can trade for cards your opponent placed into the grid.
