Peasant Cube! Commons & uncommons only- no rares to be found here. Why not Pauper cube? Because I have too many pet cards at uncommon.
The cube contains the following draft archetypes:
Flash
Do you live in constant fear of what your opponent might play? Well then Azorius Flash is the archetype for you. With a mix of counterspells, instant-speed removal, and flash creatures, build to the board without ever having to do anything so loathsome as tap out on your own turn.
Delve
Dimir Delve (notably not Delver- our bug friend is not to be found in this cube). Put your library into your graveyard, eat up your graveyard to pay for your spells, and taste the delicious value.
Aristocrats
The old standby, Rakdos kill all your own stuff to kill your opponent. Play little lads, then reward them for their loyalty by murdering them for value.
Landfall Aggro
I think we can all agree that lands are pretty great- they let you cast your spells, after all. But what if a land could do more? What if a land could kill? And wasn't degenerate nonsense like Dark Depths... or Field of the Dead... or Valakut.... Point is, with Gruul Landfall Aggro do exactly that. Play dudes who get bigger with Landfall triggers and then ramp into damage.
Blink
Selesnya Blink. Gum up the board with dorky value creatures, flicker your dorks for more value until you can ramp up to play your giant haymakers, and then flicker those for even more value. Also featuring a minor defender subtheme.
Grey Weenie
Get value out of your graveyard? Blink my creature? Why overcomplicate things? With Orzhov Aggro, put synergy to the side and just get 'em. One-mana, two-power creatures abound; some hatebears included.
Saboteurs
Izzet "make my stuff hard to block and then get value out of dealing combat damage to my opponent". Okay, so it's sort of a mouthful. Poke your opponent to death while accumulating incremental value. Play all of the Curiosity effects!
Threshold
Those Dimir mages, they think they're clever, exiling their graveyard to play spells below rate. But we Golgari mages, we know better. We know the graveyard is something to be cherished, preserved. And then used to make like 20 spiders. With Golgari Threshold, you also aim to put your library in your graveyard, but instead of using up your graveyard as a resource, you aim to stack your bin high and reap the benefits.
Tokens
Boros go-wide aggro. Do you want to lose track of how many creatures you have on the board? Or do you want to have a stack of tokens almost as thick as your deck? Either way, this is the archetype for you. Play every two-mana spell that makes two bodies imaginable, pump the team, and swing in for the kill.
Miracle Grow
A Simic tempo strategy. Play a small creature for cheap and then watch it grow as you take regular game actions. Back-up your now massive donkey with permission spells and combat tricks so that it never leaves you.
