My attempt at building a pauper cube with cards I have on hand and from friends! After reading the description, I will happily take suggestions. :)
As I gain more cards, the cube continues to tighten up. Understand that most themes have a bit of representation in every color, and that the multi-color cards largely combine themes between colors. Almost no theme is exclusive to a color. These explanations are simply my attempt to provide a study guide for more common themes when drafting.
As of now, some of the main themes (although there are always stand out good cards) amongst the colors are:
Red: 1) Burn 2) small, aggressive creatures 3) combat tricks 4) rummaging 5) Spellslinger
Green: 1) Buff spells/protection instants 2) fight cards 3) ramp 4) recursion
Black: 1) Recursion 2) Discard 3) Removal 4) Sacrifice 5) Mill
White: 1) Blink 2) Creature protection 3) Pacifism 4) Creature buffing (both instant and enchantment)
Blue: 1) Bounce 2) Counterspell 3) Card draw/spellslinger 4) Flying 5) surveil/scry
There are two of every possible bandaid land, and 5 terramorphic expanse/evolving wilds. What fun is drafting if you don't have mana for the cards you draft?
Most recent wave of updates based off of cards I was able to order I have wanted for a while.
