Zurgo vs The Biovisionaries [Clone Wars]
Story:
There is something brewing up over in the Simic Combine. Clones are being pumped out and the only person (orc) that has noticed this is Zurgo. He has decided to break down some walls and Helmsmash through some biovisionaries before they can win the game.
Design Idea:
This is an entry for the RiptideLab contest to use only 100 unique cards in a 360 card cube. By first thought was to use all the 'cards that care about themselves' in high numbers. Which could have been alright, but may have felt too samey. Just picked one card that I thought was cool in Biovisionary and would put a pile of them in.
Then building a cube around them I knew I needed GU fixing to make this work, and I didn't just want only blue and green cards in the cube as it would probably feel to similar across all the cards. This led me to making all the other colours 1 shard and then only having 2 fixing lands. From that point it was just filling out the cube with archetypes that seemed cool and let the Biovisionaries have a chance. Had to colour skew the cube to more UG just so that more drafters (up to 4 of the 8) could go in that direction if needed.
