This is a Twobert (a cube designed to be played by 2 or 4 players) containing some of the best common cards from all of Magic's history. It's easy to draft and fun to play one-vs-one. It's based on the (450-card) Pauper Cube, https://cubecobra.com/cube/overview/thepaupercube, with some additions.

Archetypes:
Black and Blue - Control
Black and Red - Aristocrats (sacrifice)
Blue and White - Flicker
Green and Red - Ferocious (creatures power 4 or greater)
Green and White - +1/+1 Counters (with go-wide as a subtheme)

How is this different from the 450-card Pauper Cube?:

  1. Fewer cards (obviously)
  2. There are only 5 archetypes instead of 10. I've also added cards to support those archetypes more; Green/Red in particular seems under-supported in the official Pauper Cube so I fleshed it out more.
  3. In a 2-person draft there's a risk that one color is drafted by neither player, leading to wasted cards. I seek to mitigate this by providing more support for 3-color decks with the semi-fetchlands cycle from New Capenna (Brokers' Hideout, etc.)

Why make a smaller version of the 450-card Pauper Cube?

  1. When drafting with two people, I've found that it's better to have only 5 archetypes, instead of 10 archetypes. You don't want to get stuck with a bunch of cards that are too specialized to use.
  2. It's easier to shuffle 180 cards than 450 cards.
  3. It costs less money.

Moving Falkenrath to other Pauper Cube, which really needs more cards that support the Lifedrain archetype.
