Welcome to my Commander Cube! I have been occasionally updating this cube and have it about 80% complete in paper. The goal of this cube is to provide a fun drafting and commander gameplay experience. The replayablity factor is most important. There are many commander staples in the cube as well as some more unique cards that fit the archetypes well.
Special RulesEach player gets 1 Command Tower, 1 Commander's Sphere and 1 Arcane Signet. I do NOT include The Prismatic Piper so you must draft your commander in the packs.
There are 72 creatures/planeswalkers under the hybrid section. Two of them should be randomly seeded into each pack to create a total of 36 20-card packs. These "commanders" are the creatures/planswalkers that the cube was mainly designed around and were kept in mind when adding cards to support their archetypes.
Rules and ArchetypesAfter ensuring the 72 "commanders" are seeded the draft follows the norm commander draft rules. Draft three 20-card packs and choose two cards at a time.
There are several different archetypes within the cube and many cards have overlapping strategies. Each mono color has it's own broad archetype and each two-color pair has 1-2 main archetypes. There is one three-color legendary creature for each shard/wedge that tries to merge overlapping strategies between color pairs. There are also two five-color legendary creatures. Below are the archetypes for mono and two-color pairs along with a few key cards for the archetype.
