The Kamigawa Cube. Why Kamigawa you ask? Well, it's thematically very interesting and the artwork is incredible. It also has much more modern keywords and mechanics than my other "old school" cubes so it's easier for newer players to pick up "out-of-the-box". It's also from the era immediately before the introduction of Planeswalkers, which I feel have been detrimental to the core play of the game.

Kamigawa has a reputation for being a bad block with under-powered cards. I think that mostly stems from a time when more players were interested in how cards played in constructed formats. My hope was that with the ability to select the best 360 cards from the block, I could make the set work well in a draft format like cube. I've tried to make the CMC curve at least reasonable and also tried to include the best "mechanics" cards (Flip cards, Bushido, Sweep, Splice) from the block while largely omitting some of the clunkiest (Soulshift).
