A cube with some original archetype combinations with some cards I own and do not currently use in my many commander decks.

Monocolor decks are possible to draft and quite strong.

Main archetypes across colors:

Life gain: w White, b Black, g Green
Tokens: w White, g Green
Ping: u Blue, r Red ; pay-off g Green
Morph: u Blue, g Green
Sacrifice: b Black, r Red
Reanimator: b Black ; support u Blue, r Red
Blink: w White, u Blue ; pay-off b Black, g Green

Deck strategies:

Aggro: r Red, w White, b Black
Midrange: g Green, r Red, b Black
Control: w White, b Black, r Red, u Blue

Combo is possible but it is card and opening dependant. Since all cards are not drafted each draft, this strategy is not really pushed forward. Players more often will stumble into a combo rather than build their decks around since I have put little deck manipulation.

Cube trivia:

  • Most w white token generation produce white flying creatures.

  • u Blue and w White have plenty of flyers. r Red has phoenixes and a few dragons, b Black has demons and a few vampires. Green has a few reach creatures (and hornets).

  • Life gain enablers and pay-offs are both found in w White, b Black and g Green.

  • Both u Blue and r have plenty of pingers, g Green has enrage payoffs.

  • The blink archetype can allow morph fatties from any color to be cheated into play.

  • Multiple r Red, b Black, g Green and u Blue creatures can return from the graveyard to hand or the battlefield by themselves to support the many spellshapers and self discard in the set.

  • There is one planeswalker for each color (3 of them starting as creatures), plus the big bad Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker if you want to play grixis control

  • There is one X spell for each color, plus Aurelia's fury and Kessig Wolf Run.

  • Multiple blue spells transform creatures to 1/1 without abilities, allowing either enrage triggers (combat) or an easy kill with a pinger.

  • The cube contains also small packages for archetypes around specific cards:

  1. Haakon, Stromgald Scourge brings back multiple knights and changelings (even instant removals like Crib Swap and Nameless Inversion)
  2. Rhythm of the Wild allows a fast gruul midrange but also enables possible combos with persist creatures coupled with a sacrifice outlet
  3. Eidolon of Blossoms and Skybind are constellation payoffs with green and white enabler enchantments that can enter the battlefield multiple times
  4. Prophet of Kruphix and plenty of untap effects are here to both support morph which is mana hungry, and pingers to trigger them multiple times
  5. Ixidron which can be flickered or self-bounced to allow to reuse morphs effect multiple times without the need to have Vesuvan Shapeshifter or Yedora, Grave Gardener
  6. Viridian Longbow is a way to provide a ping effect to any creature, enabling enrage to mono-green, and there are multiple green and black deathtouch creatures to go with it
  7. Soulfire Grand Master and Pestilent Spirit are very strong with red blasts, the latter particularly with the reccuring 1 damage spells like Searing Touch and Flame Jab
  8. Gift of Doom can be played in any deck and is the only card that can give deathtouch to a creature, deadly with a pinger
