Let's play Tiny Leader, a Commander variant where all cards have a mana value of 3 or less. In essence, a game of Tiny Leader is just like a game of Commander, but with everything halved.
You can read the rules of Commander here, and replace appropriate rules with the following:
This cube was, without surprise, inspired by the Tiny Leader format deck lists, but also by the French Duel Commander format: a very balanced and competitive Commander variant which is meant to be as close as possible to a traditional 1v1 game of good old Magic. Consequently, this cube was designed to played 1v1!
There are no Companions, Partners and/or cards with the ability "Choose a Background", no double-faced cards, no silver-border and no Universes Beyond cards in this cube. Those are personal choices.
Each player starts with a copy of Command Tower, that they can choose to include in their deck.
Each monocolored Legendary Creature has "Partner with another monocolored Legendary Creature". This makes drafting a little easier by expanding monocolored Commanders' color identities, enabling more build-around options for them, and giving more re-playability to the cube as a whole.
Each player drafts 5 packs of 12 cards.
Each player then chooses one (or two if they are both monocolored) legendary creature among their card pool as their Commander.
Every card in decks must have a color identity that is a subset of the color identity of their Commander or Partners.
