"I find the pain tolerance of this backwards plane to be... intriguing."
"All shine, no heart. S'just 'nother tin man."
This is a themed cube featuring my two favorite planes: Lorwyn/Shadowmoor and Mirrodin/New Phyrexia! I thought it would be interesting to see what kind of set such clashing planes would make. Plus, c'mon, they've both experienced transformative paradigm shifts already. It's bound to get nutty.
I'm considering playing with color, as the various forms of strange mana (hybrid, 2brid, Phyrexian) flying around combined with Sunburst encourages you to try oddball stuff. Of course there'll be a heavy emphasis on artifacts, but I'm interested in exploring the contrast between Lorwyn/Shadowmoor's primitive nature compared to Mirrodin/New Phyrexia's hyper-advanced civilization. Will that mean tribal? Spellslinger? Enchantments? Who knows.
