This is an MTGO-inspired Vintage Winston cube!
ContextThis cube is designed to be played with 2-people. I found myself playing Powered cubes as Winston drafts so often, I decided to make a cube designed for 2-person play! I wanted enough cards to have both single-Winston and double-Winston, with a bit of variance either way, so it's a 200 card cube.
RestrictionsThere aren't many restrictions here in this cube, right now I'm not running silver-bordered/acorn-stamp cards, but if there was a good enough argument I might consider. Other than that, it's definitely singleton.
PowerThis is a powered Vintage cube, so we're looking for very powerful magic here. I don't want something too horrendous (Time Vault combos are not present for example), and I'm currently feeling out the level of unfair Magic that can be present in this size cube while still feeling fun and not forced.
GameplayIdeal gameplay would be feeling like completing an MTGO Vintage Cube draft, but with just 2 players. I intend for the single-Winston format to contain a large amount of variance and be slightly lower power level, and for the double-Winston to be a super-charged version of the cube that feels like just a step down from cube constructed. There are 20 extra cards to allow just a little variance for double-Winston, without making single-Winston unplayable.
Let me know what you think!
