Replacing some obvious outliers with clear downgrades that still fit their role. This isn't a combo or vintage cube, so I want the top end to be slightly nerfed to allow for the more synergistic decks to have a shot. More possible to come back from Turn 1-2 Vilis than Griselbrand. Could honestly argue Vilis is better late game when hard-cast for value if you're not trying to instant-win.
Along with high-powered outliers, also removing some on the low end now that I have replacements.
Removing Day of Judgment for Doomskar since I think DoJ is the worst of my 3 current wraths and I want to test the 3/5 mana value wrath. Very cool and worth a shot.
Adding Esika because I want 5c decks to be possible and have a reason to exist. I don't want them to be the go-to strategy, but not including ABU duals or fetches means I do have to push it with non-land cards if I want it to be a draftable archetype.
Updating my cube to remove some older guild cards for better ones in Strixhaven and other recent sets. Still just adding mono-colored cards for now until I start getting over that 60/color mark I aim for. Decent bit of room to add colorless and lands still too.
Even when adjusting from a blinged out version, it's still close to $30. Not worth it after having to remove Crucible and W6 already. Lands deck is mediocre even with them. I realize Wasteland goes well beyond just the lands deck, but it's not a core enough piece to the cube design at this power level to be worth it.
Removing other lands cards as well.
Note that I also have Engineered Explosives so I'm keeping that too.
Removing every card above $20 that I don't already own. Stoneforge Mystic and Prismatic Vista were the 2 exceptions. May remove Stoneforge anyway since I just removed the swords. I do still have Jitte and Batterskull though.
Once I see what the cube looks like without these cards and which archetypes they heavily change/remove, then I'll make more cuts and updates.
