  1. Removing one multicolored card per color pair. I've felt that there are just slightly too many multicolor cards per pack.
  2. Enhancing Red Aggro. Control and combo got stronger and lifegain became more relevant in the cube, causing aggro to be a bit weak of recent. Cards like Inti, Gut, and Bombardier should fix that.

I got an Ob Nixilis and it seems stronger than JY Genius for the sac theme.

I felt the cube had enough mana rocks and plenty of fixing that the lens wouldn't be terribly missed. Meanwhile, graveyard hate is a bit lacking and Agatha's is also just extremely powerful in general and synergizes well with the counters archetype. For the part of Oblivion Ring, there aren't really many if any ways of abusing its wording in the cube so I felt the added flexibility as a flicker spell made Touch stand out.

Bringing Loran in as a piece of artifact hate that is a relevant creature type over Kataki, who rarely ever gets drafted and was really only in the cube originally as the artifacts archetype was seemingly more powerful than some others, but that balance seems to have been achieved now where a specific hate card like Kataki is no longer necessary.

Deep-Cavern Bat is better than Brain Maggot in three ways - it has flying, it has lifelink, and it doesn't die to enchantment based removal. The only pro that Brain Maggot has going for it is that it is an insect for Grist, but thats simply not enough to make up for the improvements the bat brings.

Braids is a great card for both the GB graveyard and RB sacrifice decks, and replaces an overall weak card in the cube in Carrion Grub.

Pest Infestation comes in as a high powered way of eliminating artifacts and enchantments that is more synergistic with both the green white and green black gameplans.

Elusive Otter does essentially what Merfolk Skydiver does but cheaper.

Drana is a powerful card, but doesn't synergize with any of the black archetypes and isn't splashable in green white due to her double black cost. Spitting Dilophosaurus is essentially a 3 mana titan that can win games on its own.

Aggro red strategies get more power out of Rabblemaster.

The green counters and lands decks get a welcome addition in Kodama who also can stifle early aggressive fliers.

Shipwreck Dowser goes out for constructed powerhouse Murktide Regent. A cheap flyer with a big body is never bad, but I'll be watching this one as I feel blue might want more ways to get instants and sorceries back. At the same time dowser was rarely drafted.

Jeskai Elder is another card that while synergistic was never drafted and Mastermind brings more flexible options to the table.

Another smol update. Adding cheaper, more reliable ways to implement the effects of Ravenous Squirrel and Oran-Rief

Mainboard Changelist+1, -1

Swapping Knight errant in for Ojutai Exemplars, adding some more card advantage options to white creature based decks.

Swapping versions of Jin-Gitaxias as Core Augur essentially threatens to deck its controller by the time you play it, while Progress Tyrant is much more immediately impactful and less dangerous. It also synergizes with both UR Spells as well as UW Artifacts as a finisher.

New Urabrask comes in for Rockslide Sorcerer. Flipping him seems pretty doable in UR Spells and should provide another finishing option for a more controlling version of the deck.

Adding some more land destruction which I think is needed given how powerful some of the lands that have been added to the cube are.

In addition, improved overall artifact creatures while giving the UG Counters deck some extra support as well.

Humans get Mother of Runes, a clear upgrade over Speaker of the Heavens, and Oracle comes in to replace its far inferior version in Courser.

This update adds some new cards from MoM as well as Multiverse Legends, and adds a reserved list power boost that I got myself for my birthday.

Elesh Norn and Tolarian Academy add huge power to thier respective colors and replace cards that did very little for their archetypes and were rarely picked in Thoughtcast and Karmic Guide.

The addition of Ward 3 on Seal from Existence makes it an interesting differentiation from Banishing Light.

New Elspeth joins old Elspeth in the cube, removing Increasing Devotion which is rarely picked.

Volcanic Spite brings a new, flexible red removal spell replacing the less flexible and harder to cast Searing Blood.

Captain Lannery Storm removes the last piece of the Goblin Sub-Archetype that was worthless outside of the archetype.

Sram is cheaper and adds valuable card advantage to the equipment deck that Armored Skyhunter was capable of generating, but slowly and less consistently.

Glistening Dawn brings an extremely efficiently costed option for both the Tokens and Counters decks and replaces a card that frankly was not on the power level of the cube from the beginning.

Squee does everything Goblin Assault does, but faster, hits for 2 himself, and doesn't cause your Goblins to swing into anything. Not to mention, he can recur himself.

Kazandu Mammoth very rarely gets drafted, and when it does it has minimal upside due to the lack of trample or any other evasion. Silverback Elder brings much better stats and abilities to Green creature based decks.

Urza's Saga far outclasses Cathedral of War and slots nicely into the cube's Artifact theme.

I always intended to add Bant Charm but had Noble Hierarch in temporarily.

Thran Dynamo is a much more welcome card for the artifacts deck than a second bauble.

Black Removal Overhaul -

I had previously removed Hero's Downfall from the Cube in favor of Overwhelming Remorse, but after further testing I've realized that when you want to kill something in Cube, you need it dead. For that reason, Hero's Downfall is coming back, and Infernal Grasp is coming along with it to replace the remaining Black removal spells with contingencies.

Lifegain -

In addition to cards like Dihada's Ploy, Steel Seraph and Sunset Revelry from a previous update, I've realized that midrange and control decks sometimes need to gain life in this format or they will be simply run over by the powerful aggressive cards that are available. Thragtusk and Sphinx's Revelation should help to achieve that while supporting control and midrange decks in a variety of colors.

Other changes -

Pack Rat does essentially everything that Endrek Sahr does except cheaper, better, faster, and with the added bonus of being a discard engine for reanimator decks.

The more controlling and rampy version of the artifacts deck in the cube needed a more immediately impactful finisher than Steel Hellkite, and Cityscape Leveler should do the trick.

Skyclave Apparition should bring a more flexible and permanent removal capability to white than Fiend Hunter, who was chosen to be removed over Banisher Priest because I think the Black/White Humans deck would prefer to be more aggressive.

Skatewing Spy is coming in to the four drop slot in Blue over Faerie Mechanist because Blue/Green Counters didn't have much support in Blue and Artifacts already has a Blue four drop in Urza.

Hymn to Tourach is coming in over Mind Drain. Mind Drain hasn't been a popular choice in the Cube, and I'm thinking that is because it just isn't that powerful. Hymn is up there with the best discard spells of all time, so lets see how it goes. This is a card that will have to be monitored though, as the randomness can sometimes cause unfun gameplay.

Regrowth is kind of a must have effect in a limited environment in my opinion, and we had plenty of ramp as it is, so out with Farhaven Elf and in with Regrowth.

Swapping Sword of Fire and Ice in for Sword of Feast and Famine : This way we have one Sword providing protection to at least one of every color instead of multiple in black and green. Additionally, Fire and Ice does more things that the equipment deck is looking for, refueling your hand and dealing direct damage.

Gnawing Vermin and Witherbloom Command : These two cards are coming in at the expense of Dread Wanderer and Putrefy. Mainly, both these cards enable Green/Black to fill their graveyard, which is an ability that is sorely lacking right now outside of the few dredge cards. Witherbloom is more flexible than Putrefy, though not quite as powerful in its effects, but it does cover essentially the same use cases. Gnawing Vermin is better in a grindy deck that G/B is looking to be, whereas Wanderer is really meant more for an aggressive shell. Luckily, we still have Bloodsoaked Champion in the cube who fills this slot for both the B/R Sacrifice and B/W Humans archetypes.
