A long-awaited shift in Gruul towards more aggro cards, including the iconic Kird Ape and Burning-Tree Emissary. There is a shift down in green, including Wild Nacatl for Gruul/Selesnya aggro and Jade Avenger. That last is provisional. The other option considered was Initiate's Companion, and I'm still not sure which I prefer. On an empty board the cat is much better, and combos with bounce lands and the incoming (but not yet present) land enchantments, but against blockers the frog is much better.

In blue, Aven Surveyor comes out, given it is usually a worse Mist Raven. The Raven is superb and the Aven is still ok, but it feels bad. Peregrine Drake is long overdue. A couple of other minor shifts.

In Red, Hissing Iguanar aids aristocrats, Hordeling Outburst has been long awaited, and Fireblast too. Famished Foragers replaces the weakest of the 2-drop 3-power creatures.

Some changes based simply on power (with some cards removed long overdue), also reinforcing some archetypes – Azorius flicker, W-based Naya tokens. Also sub-themes including Temur suspend, some support for Golgari sacrifice.
