For whatever reason, Karplusan Forest has been my white whale of lands. It was consistently selling for 5-6 dollars, even for the DMU printing, which was more then I wanted to spend. I finally picked it up for 1.85 USD. I've been splurging on lands and this was the perfect capstone to my lands section.
Speaking of splurges, I also dropped 8 dollars for my very own copy of elegant parlor, my first surveil land!
I got a DMU printing of Adarkar Wastes, I think I'm going to sell my ICE version to pay for some of these land splurges. Currently going for $26.
I needed a copy of petrify for my new 2022 Nostalgia Cube and it's frankly too low powered for this environment. oust is a pretty clear upgrade.
Speaking of cards that have been powered out organ hoarder is beloved but too low impact at 4 mana.
wharf infiltrator had been marked for a cut and shoreline looter is a much cleaner version that doesn't make a unique token. I think infiltrator was the only skulk card in the list.
I'm cutting channel/fireball for the moment. It's iconic, it's splashy, it ends games out of nowhere. Maybe the setup cost is high enough to justify. I might want to create a module of powerful cards to shuffle in a la Anthony's irregular cube.
I've been having a ton of fun with The Jolly Balloon Man. It's strictly worse kiki-jiki which makes it way more fun. It combines with Resto and Zealous conscripts roughly the way you think it would. It requires an additional piece to go infinite (see: ashnod's altar).
I'm also slotting in Mayor of Avabruck and Huntmaster of the Fells for a small werewolf package in gruul. I like how it compliments the existing human-matters but creates a new archetype.
Last thing: going to try out one card from the new set. Naga Fleshcrafter looks like a ton of fun that will create some memorable moments. Removing channel makes Sundering Titan less interesting. It means fewer tinker targets, but tinker should be busted enough with jewel, battleball and thopter/sword.
That's it! I'm done. I think the cube is in a great place and I'm pretty unlikely to make any big changes until I have drafted it several times.

I finally figured out how to do the double arrow replacement function. It doesn't exactly square with how I've been doing maybeboard adds then swaps. I like seeing exactly which card was cut to make room for the new tech.

Runaway Steam-Kin is a pet card of mine and would love to see it back in, I just love how Dreadhorde is a one card archetype that really gives you something to build around.

Lands are almost all buttoned up. I think artifact land will be great for Dimir. The elusive card is elegant parlor.

I thought I had sad robot in my cube already. Strict upgrade over Skittering Surveyor.

My mana base has always had room for improvement. It's all budget includes or cards I own. I was lucky enough to pull a Steam Vents back in the day and somehow I ended up with a Breeding Pool. Opening up xander's lounge from a random SNC booster I picked up at Rite Aid is a fun memory. The quality of lands drops off a cliff after those.
I like my hodgepodge of lands but I have grown to dislike the art on the WHO printings. I had a few checklands from M13 and DMR, so I'm finishing the allied and enemy cycles, respectively.
Allied pairs are getting bi-cycle lands, and man-lands, plus two wild cards that fit the archetypes.
Enemy pairs are all getting Painlands, typed-duals (I want to eventually upgrade to Overgrown Tomb, Godless Shrine and Sacred Foundry), and two wild cards.

I was going through my cube the other day and saw that I had two copies of spell pierce sleeved up. After sorting my cube by color then mana value, I realized the missing card was thirst for discovery.
Now that my cube was sorted, it seemed like a good time to swap out some cards that I bought a few weeks ago. Cutting cards is the hardest part. I mostly went with things that were overly complicated or some strict power upgrades. Looking forward to mayhem devil and elas il-kor, sadistic pilgrim propping up an aristocrats strategy.
Looking forward to getting in some paper testing!

LSV updated his cube to include DSK cards. Still waiting for the dust to settle on the prices for the new cards. Noticed some great cards on his list are down in price. Notably banned cards like Grief and Nadu, Winged Wisdom are under $3. Wild stuff! Somehow I missed that Ignoble was reprinted in M3C. Looking to pick up one now!

This is a big milestone for me in my cube journey!
I have been tinkering with this list for 18 months or so and I finally have all the cards purchased and more importantly... all the cards assembled in a single box. It took me several hours to find the disparate pieces and even then, 10 or so were totally ellusive. I made some swaps to fill out the entire list. I am very happy with some of them: sunken citadel is a very cool and interesting upgrade over uncharted haven for instance. And I think Sundering Titan is a better tinker/channel payoff than Meteor Golem.
I will be pretty hard pressed to make wholesale changes to this list. I plan on doing a considerable amount of playtesting before making big changes. I would like to make some improvements to the mana base as budgets allow.
My case of sleeves arrives tomorrow, then I will be ready to shuffle up and play!

Still haven't bought my copy of kiki-jiki. I kept trying to find it for around 6 dollars but only seeing it at 9+ dollars just have yet to jump on it. I will likely proxy this bad boy if I ever decide to run the package.
With this most recent order, I now own every card in the list and will set some budget aside to go full sleeves. Excited that I got some good deals on Headliner Scarlett and finally found a copy of Kenrith, the returned king also splurged a dollar to get simian spirit guide we shall see if I have enough support of Titania, protector of argoth it is a very powerful card but may be a trap without true fetch lands.

Some really awesome reprints in MKC. Grave Titan is much appreciated. Been wanting to add that one to the list but didn't want to pay 6-10 dollars for it. Reprint is bringing it down to around $3. LSV talked about MKM additions to his online cube. I didn't add any of those cards, but I took another look at his list and added some that are powerful and cheap.

Maybeboard Changelist+1, -0

Ghostly flicker goes infinite with peregrine drake + archeomancer/eternal witness. And is the only card missing from the combo.

Blue is really the combo color and UG could use some support.

Watching Old Border Foil cube finals. Izzet spells player has daze, high tide, frantic search and a bunch of other cards I run. The big payoffs are storm cards like … so I’m looking to add some storm payoffs for spells.

Also saw a player cast Mishra's command in the live the dream cube which reminded me I own that card.

Edit: meant to say grapeshot, not <i>gut shot</i>

Watching cubecon has been a blast! Just saw monored go 3-0 in Creative cube. Some of the cards I saw in action were rix maadi reveler feldon, ronom excavator and gingerbrute cards I own that would fit in my cube. My list function is down right now. Hoping a blog update will fix that.

This article released a few days ago has been reverberating across the Magic and Cube communities. The tldr; is that Set boosters and Draft boosters are being combined into "Play Boosters". I have a wait and see attitude about the whole thing. I am generally okay with the move.

The detail that bothers me the most is draftable boosters will only have 13 playables per pack + 1 land + 1 token/art card. This means your booster draft will have a pool of 39 non-land playables. Yikes!

I have decided to move in the opposite direction of WOTC. I will be adding 24 cards to my cube to make an even 384 cards. This will allow 8 players to each draft 3 packs of 16 and have a total pool of 48 cards (including non-basic lands).

Inspired me to trade out manowar for an elf with the same effect. Also roving harper in white. Maybe encourage mono green elfs to splash into other colors.

I was looking at my list and wondering if I had too many repeatable token generators. Do I really need Murmuring mystic AND Talrand, Sky Summoner? They effectively do the same thing at four mana, Mystic is easier to splash and makes 1/1's. Talrand has uu and makes 2/2's.

I combed through my list and pulled all the token generators, excluding the one time use ETB creators like siege-gang commander and master splicer. Here is the full list as of today:

White w

Blue u

Black b

Red r

Green g

Gold wubrg

Clearly, black has the fewest token generators which is unfortunate because it has the most sac outlets and death payoffs. I almost didn't include Chandra and Valduk because the tokens exile on end step. I know Legion Warboss often loses it's token by forcing it into combat. Young pyro is the best of the whole bunch, so not too concerned about red. I added some to the maybeboard for black. Would love to see grave titan but it is a bit over budget at $6.00. Strong contenders are liliana's reaver and sedgemoor witch.
