Making swaps and cuts as I acquire cards instead of putting it off until everything is in hand.

Electroman got powercrept, so we'll try out Stormcatch Mentor. 2 vs 1 toughness might matter enough for him to come back, but we'll see.

Dour Port-Mage is sick with ninjas or repeatable bounce like Shrieking Drake or Whitemane Lion. Even better in a deck with Aluren or Earthcraft (hold priority, t drake, untap u, draw your deck).

Iridescent Vinelasher has a great floor given the number of fetches, but is also great in Worldsoul's Rage, Second Sunrise, Aftermath Analyst etc, and now also Worldsoul's Rage.

Snarling Gorehound is a nice aggressive threat early game and provides some interesting decisions as the game goes on.

Warren Soultrader is here for Squirrel Channel with Chatterfang and other nonsense.

Green continues to struggle, so I'm throwing in several tools to see what sticks. Ineffable Blessing and Birthing Ritual I think could be here long term, but we'll just have to see. Also throwing in Academy Rector mostly for the green enchantment decks, but it would play great in Biotransference, too.

Securitron Squadron has some neat synergies.

Bloodghast is here for fun and profit (and soon also Wight of the Reliquary for Bazaar nonsense).

Flash never really comes together.

Mimic vat is too slow.

Servo schematic is fine, but seems replaceable. Altar of Dementia brings another sac outlet and an interesting payoff.

Enduring Renewal has been on my "maybe" list for about a year now, and I think it's time to get it out of my system, or have it prove itself.

After exploring it through just jamming bot-drafts, I wasn't happy with the draft dynamics (pivoting was harder than I'd like). This happens in a lot of my aggressive cube variants. One day I'll have a cleaner solution to it.

I think the cube itself is solid, but the current version would lack replayability. Would be a fun cube to bring to an event, a less fun cube to own if that makes sense.

I have been debating Organ Harvest for about 6 months now. Decided I'm ok with the "teammates" reference because the effect is so cool (and will be even better with some planned changes). I thought I cut Raise Dead already, so get outta here.

Aftermath Analyst gives some more boost to the second sunrise & other lands-ey things going on. Again, more planned changes will make this card really sing.

Field of the Dead is here.

Gods Willing is a little boring.

Not much to say about the cuts here aside from most of them are uninteresting, cost too much, or just generally haven't done much.

Big additions to storm with the High tide package since I took apart my Canlander deck, I need an outlet for the degenerate combo. Also Dualcaster mage + Bonus Round for extra shenanigans.

Riddlesmith and Ovalchase Daredevil are two cards from 8CVIKL (8-cast variants I have known and loved) and think will be neat in the cube.

Couple pickups from MKM: Crime Novelist seems neat, while Behind the Mask is both a neat combat trick as well as a synergy piece for Intruder alarm and other blue artifact nonsense.

Pulling together some last minute swaps before the UberCube event. Technically past the lock date, but I think these changes will make it more Fun for everyone drafting.

I've wanted to buff the manabase for a while now, so we're getting a 3rd set of fetches.

Decided to cut the Hammertime line. The deck has a hard time coming together, and seems to be a trap for drafters. Probably a few too many pieces required for it to work that compromises the performance of the rest of the shell.

Red has been doing quite well, so I've decided it doesn't need any more help from Fable of the Mirror-Breaker. Arcane Bombardment and Curse of the Fire Penguin were always too cute, and now that I'm looking for space, it's time to say goodbye.

In an effort to lower the curve, Grave Titan and Sun Titan are going to live on the farm with Hell Mongrel.

Daretti, Ingenious Iconoclast is a little too good on his own.

Runed Halo is a neat card, but sort of just hoses some decks and is only playable in w, so that's gone too.

Demand Answers is just a strict upgrade for Tormenting Voice here. We'll try it out. The nice thing about Voice is it's sufficiently narrow that the discard deck could wheel it, so we'll keep an eye on it, but I like giving people options with the sacrifice mode. Also acting at instant speed enables silliness with madness by ignoring timing restrictions for casting creatures.

Cuts & Swaps

As far as the cuts go, most of these either had little support (e.g. General Ferrous Rokiric), or were too expensive (Loch Dragon, Agent's Toolkit).

I wanted to call out specifically cuts to the Monarch (Palace Jailer, Custodi Lich). I enjoy the play patterns of these cards, but I'm main decking them almost in any w or b deck I play. Similarly, Opposition Agent is quite punishing for little effort. Overall, I want to cut down on auto-include cards to make deck building more interesting. I haven't cut Fable yet, but it might be on the horizon, too.

Along these same lines, Murktide Regent is out in favor of Junk Winder, which I'm excited about.

Bonesplitter really doesn't get there, even in aggro decks. Because there's so many artifacts around, I think Cranial Plating will scale better into the mid/late game while offering some really fun build-around potential.

Followed Footsteps is a holdover from early days of this list. It pitches to Force of Will and that's about it. Ancestral Knowledge is taking it's place. This is kind of a bad Vampiric Tutor, but in a 40 card format, if you cast on turn 2 you'll see ~1/3 of your deck. The exile even has potential uses in Food Chain or if you're late in the game and don't want to draw any more lands. I might add Thassa's Oracle one of these days, and this would be a silly card in that deck, too.

Additions

These changes are mostly about adding extra tutor effects, while helping w, b, and g lean harder into their emergent identities.

w gets some more reanimation in Recommission and Sevinne's Reclamation helping it lean into both artifact recursion and ETB synergies.

b gets more hand attack (and a sac outlet!) in Cabal Therapy. I wanted to buff payoffs for sacrificing creatures and add more redundant self-mill effects, so Liliana's Standard Bearer and Undead Butler are in. I also have felt low on discard outlets in b so Putrid Imp is here for more redundancy. Vampiric Tutor is here to help find synergy pieces.

g is still in a tough spot, without a very strong identity. These changes don't solve that, but they put more tools in it's toolbox. First, Tireless Provisioner, while a little expensive, has some nice synergy potential, so we're trying it out. I'm excited for what it could bring to the table after LoTR is released, since I'm planning to add more Food-matters effects. At the very least, this may help live the Feasting Troll King dream.

Next, Eternal Witness is a versatile card that could go in a lot of decks. Finally, in pursuit of additional tutors: Crop Rotation and Green Sun's Zenith.

For the final set of miscellaneous additions, Thopter / Sword is here cause it's fun. Grafted Wargear is another aggro card that doubles as a sacrifice outlet. Unctus is around for some playtesting.

Hullbreaker Horror doesn't really need any buildarounds, you just cast it and win the game. RIP.

Trail of Evidence is an interesting buildaround card, so we'll give it a shot.

Since Food Chain is a pretty niche card, I want to make sure there's enough support for the infinite combo, so Eternal Scourge is here for redundancy.

Lots of ways to make clues now, so Ulvenwald Mysteries is here to do fun stuff with artifact sacrifice outlets and just generally bring value.

These changes are mostly about tuning down the power level.

Ragavan is out because it's too easy for him to take over games with minimal investment. In his place, I'm testing Professional Face-Breaker, which can act as a nice top-end for an aggro deck to keep cards flowing while also being a powerful synergy piece for cards like Faldorn and Prosper.

Kiki-Jiki & crew are out. I love this combo, but I don't love it here, even though I want to.

Kaldra Compleat + Stoneforge Mystic is too easy to pull off and is too hard to interact with when you do. Kaldra is also an insanely strong Tinker target, which I don't want.

Speaking of Tinker, most remaining cuts are around tuning it down. Bolas's Citadel, another card I love is out. I'm also cutting the Gearhulks (Torrential & Combustible) because they're so BIG.

Murder is boring, Snuff Out rules.

Similar to Ravioli, Mob Nixilis doesn't ask much from drafters to start snowballing, and he doesn't contribute much to synergistic gameplans so he'll be sleeping with the fishes for the time being.

Gibbering Fiend is a relic from another time.

Fervent Champion doesn't work as well anymore because most equipment in the cube are the NEO reconfigure creatures, which don't equip, so...

Let the record show that I really like Giant Killer, but wow it feels awful in this environment.

Scrapheap Scrounger is here as another recursion enabler.

I thought I was on Mana Leak already, so that oversight has been corrected.

I love Snap so it's here now.

Mindwrack Demon is another high-toughness creature that I really do love, but not loving it in this cube. 4/5 flying trample is hard to deal with for a lot of decks due to the limited quantity of unconditional removal. I'm going to test Graveshifter since it seems like a card that fits into a few places.

Raise Dead has better art than Disentomb.

Lastly, Orcish Librarian, a card that was always here as a meme, is out for Dark-Dweller Oracle which I'm hoping can play well in token or sacrifice decks while also having the potential upside of doing crazy stuff with Faldorn or Prosper.

Subterranean Tremors is just too strong vs my goals for removal in the cube. If I was interested in modifying cards, I'd try it at xxr and half the additional triggered effect costs, where I think it'd be perfect. But I'm not going to do that. Some candidate replacements are Conflagrate, Bonfire of the Damned, Fall of the Titans, and Release the Gremlins, but I want to get more games in with the cube before deciding where to go with this one.

I never actually put GO TO JAIL into paper, I just couldn't bring myself to sleeve it up. I really want to like it, but I just don't want games to come down to dicerolls -- getting mana screwed is more than enough RNG for me these days.

I'm really liking where w is with artifacts, but want to give it some more options for recursion, so will give Auriok Salvagers a go.

Haywire Mite seems like a great versatile gamepiece in the cube. Fetchable with Urza's Saga, hits enchantments, conditional removal, AND it's a nice artifact recursion piece even if you're never activating it. My guess is it'll be here for a long time.

Prophetic Titan is in a weird spot now in this environment. I had originally added most of the delirium cards to try and anchor that mechanic in the list, but now that the list is more complete, he seems out of place and like he'll end up in a lot of sideboards.

Mad Ratter on the other hand feels more synergistic in the environment. Most colors have card draw & some kind of token synergy or payoff, so he can fit into several archetypes. I think my favorite is in a rg tokens aggro deck with Gallia of the Endless Dance. Also broken with a Skullclamp, but what token strategy isn't? I digress. Most colors have ways to draw cards: u has all the cantrips, b has Night's whisper et. al. as well as Dark Confidant. r has Faithless Looting, Burning Inquiry, etc. g is the least well supported for card draw effects, but it does have Tireless tracker for clues, and Fecundity which can be quite powerful with tokens. I am not exactly happy to add yet another red card, but I really want to test it out.

More green stompy and topdeck stuff.

Feasting Troll King adds some interesting Food payoffs. Also is totally busted with Flash... will need to keep an eye on that one. It's also just another big stompy thing for the green decks that want it.

Sarinth Steelseeker seems perfect for this cube, allowing you to dig for combo pieces, hit land drops, and fill the graveyard.
