Evenings, for the most part my group has given up the desire to cube overall and as a result it sees very little play if any. As a result it is not worth acquiring cards on an ongoing basis to keep it updated. So this list will remain static for now.

At some point over the next while I may transition towards updating it occasionally but without the playtests that usually come with cementing the card choices. Did cube the other week with 4 mana Sheoldred which wrecked me which is not in the official list currently.

Kind of a shame but it is what it is. Thanks for anyone who likes to follow or check up on the list for any updates over the years.

That's a shame :( I've followed along the evolution of this cube first on CT, through the youtube series, discussions on reddit and/or discord and of course over here.
If you ever start updating again I reckon I will just continue following along ;)

Not much cubing like at all in our group, kind of has fallen off. Picked up a few cards to add keep the list mildly updated.

Bit late on this one. Lack of magic, Overwatch 2 beta, etc. Worth noting that I already run 5 triomes and not adding the new set. Do not exactly need them. Would bloat things more, the art is worse, names worse etc. Makes the current ones less special, kind of a downgrade all around.

Only really doing safe additions for the moment, couple of cards on the watch list.

Hard to get hyped about new cards currently, still locked down again. Maybe cube in a few weeks. Get an initial update out there, might have a follow-up depending if I see anything else looks intriguing.

In regards to the channel lands pretty much taking the same approach as Karakas to not include them. These types of lands often have no real pick priority, you just take them as they show up or fit them in any deck as a 15th pick. They have no drawback and can be randomly backbreaking.

Might be more outstanding but might as well commit what I have. Deluge has been in for a while although haven't seen it.

I like the idea of scourge but never really had a chance to come into play in the few times it has been in decks which is probably a sign it should be slashed.

Always been a fan of Bygone Bishop even with needing the extra mana to crack clues. This is mostly an upgrade even with the lower power requirements. Triggers on ETB not cast as well.

Have cubed a few times recently but still lacking from testing. I like Nissa but I did see it passed over in a deck that could have used it. Swapping in Grist for more excitement maybe, that deck did have Green Sun's Zenith.

Most changes here are kind of obvious. Aggro still very strong, removing a white 1 drop for Portable Hole as there is extra here with Legion's Landing.

Cards on the short list include Augur of Autumn, Memory Deluge and Murktide Regeant.

Managed to fit in a cube a couple of weeks ago, nice to do one finally. Heloid is on the watch list as its the first time Ballista combo came together although I only won one game off of it. Playgroup is split on it.

The foil KHM snow lands are a bit hard to see will rock them for now but are probably going to be an issue. I like the idea of Ascendant Spirit, seems to be a bit too much mana to get going for blue rather than just playing a great card out of the gate.

Picked up a foil Portable Hole, might have that one in the next update. Need way more testing with the new cards, not happening today though, frowny face.

Went over AFR a few times, nothing really stood out to me other than Ranger Class. Seems to be one of the best possible effects for what I am trying to accomplish with non-creature perms in green. The dungeon stuff rubs me the wrong way, added baggage similar to the Learn mechanic from Strix.

Adding in those MH2 evoke cards made me want to add in Ephemerate. While I don't specifically support blink I feel it will have a reasonable inclusion rate. Condemn is one of the least in demand cards in white.

Emailed the local store to see what stock they had and it was pretty much everything so lets go. Not sure on all the changes but might as well. No idea how the evoke cycle will work out until we get the chance to play. They do seem potentially explosive/powerful.

Griselbrand is from when reanimator was a supported archetype. Now its just a thing that happens so its kind of a dead card more often than not.

I want to try Grist at some point but I haven't even been able to give the Nissa I run a shot yet. Don't own one yet so no issue there atm.

Most changes are just analogs or lowing the curve a bit. Eyes to less performing or less picked cards.

Not currently in the mood to go over my list and commit changes for MH2 due to the pandemic restrictions and not being able to cube for a long, long time. The set is current very expensive for the singles I am looking at so some time to simmer and let the prices drop across the board is not the worst idea. I have around 15 cards or so marked down as possibles with some vague swaps in mind. The google sheet linked in the overview is my working copy.

Small additional adjustment.

Relic Seeker performs well enough, just not an in demand card. Shaile has potential as a white two.

Moving Figure of Destiny to red.

Still no cube testing but vaccines are at least being given out to some people now.

Bontu has been low impact, Tergrid may be the same but has larger potential probably.

Rofellos is above and beyond the best mana acceleration available from any other card in the list. The increase in lower cost removal over the last few updates was in part to keep Rofellos in check. I do not have much love for Abundant Harvest, I think it is a lazy addition. No other green cards rise to the top currently so might as well until we get to play some games.

Witching Well has done quite well, I like how it plays regarding the early filter and the late draw. Many a person online has told me to play Opt. I refused to buy a foil Invasion bit this Archive version is acceptable. In the end a cantrip is a cantrip, will very likely make almost no difference.

Minor change I made a while ago.

Unfortunately pure theoretical at this time due to COVID etc etc. I do not have problems with running two Foretell cards considering they are both powerful. "In theory".

I do not have high hopes for Ascendant Spirit, but put it in there for now.

Not much else to say, would like to play paper magic again some day. Replacing my foil Zen basics with foil snow lands. They are a little bit more pale than I would like but no more need for custom errata. Pretty cheap for land replacement as well.

Looking over Commander Legends, do not really see anything that currently piques my interest other than a good foil printing of Fyndhorn Elves. Will add FE but not sure for what whether it be Boreal Druid or add another elf. Piping through my current changes.

All theory at this point now that Friday night cubes are suspended again due to dangerously high covid numbers. Trying to change up black and blue's early game over the last few updates. Make it less reactive, give them different tools or cards to test. Increase cheap removal in order to combat aggro.

Finally got around to ordering that foil Urza although I don't really expect it to perform all that well. Part of a minor blue shift removing some of the older cards that have been lagging on the bench in most drafts. Opposition is obviously quite powerful but does not make it into many decks and the ones it does tend to be not very fun. Only one person in my group likes Opposition and obviously is the only person who drafts it. Thassa is a mild lateral to niche deck building card which should preserve some of the unique deckbuilding aspects.

Every time I think I remove the last vestiges of fast mana I find another. Ancient Tomb is the fairest version I have ran in cube and in recent times usually results in the death of the owner due to activations rather than winning. Removing under the guise of being consistent.

Still do not like the idea of these land flip cards and the mythic ones even less than I did before. Regardless will try out the two I had my eye on. The mammoth for being an acceptable duder and Valakut for satisfying my niche red card needs.

Keruga has seen less main deck play than I wanted. Going to try out Kinnan since Simic already has a mild ramp strategy. Obosh is still a clunky favorite among several of my drafters. Going to see how Korxa does for a bit as I picked up a foil one a few weeks ago.

Overall ended up with more cards than I figured after seeing the mechanics and the first day of spoilers. Still adding cards mostly devoid of said mechanics but with one or two on the watch list like Kazandu Mammoth and Emeria's Call. The spell lands seem lower on the power level than I would like. Cutting good cards for medium cards that can be played as lands is probably not where I want to be.

Nighthawk Scavenger is boring but will probably play better than it should. Maul of the Skyclaves feels to me like it solves most of the problems I have with equipment in where it is a huge sink to play and equip the card. Having a more expensive equip for being cheaper to get going is a good tradeoff ala Embercleave.

Increasing the cheaper black removal density after some desire from my playgroup, something I have noticed as well. Just adding this one for now. It is possible to go back and add Disfigure as well, may not need to go that far.

I believe Harmonize was cut for Collected Company a while back due to CC not seeing much play. Harmonize has seen no play outside of one draft. I think the ship has sailed on it. Adding CC back in, I would rather have a fun card that sees a small amount of play.

Was not planning to add Nissa until we talked about it on Cubism. Going to give her a shot. She does do what my playgroup like in general with the fair zombify. Interesting landfall trigger. Players are excited to try her, Garruk has been exactly what one would expect from the card but adds no interesting dimensions.
