I loved the Madness + Graveyard focus of Ultimate Masters and wanted to experience something like that again. Not exactly the same, but something with a very similar feel. A heavily graveyard-focused environment without _everything_ centering around the graveyard. To that end, I've created something with a bunch of subarchetypes for players to find among the macro-archetype pillars: >>> **Spells** ========= [[!Fiery Temper]] {U}{B}{R}{G} Instants, sorceries, and [[Reckless Wurm]]s <<< - Generate value with Madness - Generate value with spells-matter cards like [[Young Pyromancer]] - Set up a massive [[Rise from the Tides]] >>> **Graveyard** ========= [[!Spider Spawning]] {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} Victory from death <<< - Reanimate creatures & artifacts in {W} - Generate value by filling your graveyard, such as a massive [[Spider Spawning]] - Generate value by consuming your graveyard, such as with [[Murktide Regent]] - Loop cards from your graveyard, or even loop your graveyard itself! >>> **Artifacts** ========= [[!Zabaz, the Glimmerwasp]] {W}{U}{R}{C} Aggression with or without the graveyard <<< - Affinity+Modular aggro in {R}{W} - Generate value over time in {W}{U} - Sacrifice artifacts in {B}{R} >>> **Notes for drafters** ========= [[!Careful Study]] <<< - Do note that this cube is *not* singleton. Several staples are duplicated, including irreplaceable payoffs like [[Rise from the Tides]] and [[Spider Spawning]], enablers like the artifact dual lands and discard outlets, and [[Fiery Temper]] (the only card which appears three times). - There is intentionally a limited amount of graveyard hate and library recursion. It's there if you're looking for it, but you're not guaranteed to get it, and it's not going to be as easy as [[Relic of Progenitus]] or [[Elixir of Immortality]]. - There aren't too many ways to permanently answer large creatures outside of white and black, and there are almost no ways to sweep the battlefield. - I am very, very interested in getting feedback, deck pictures, and thoughts. Basically, I'm always happy to talk about or listen about this cube.
