I originally wanted to have dogs with humans, and then I was going to add cats, as well. Unfortunately, I think that's just too much for this pool.

I'm thinking of making a third pool consisting mainly of elves/dogs/cats/squirrels, and maybe some other critters.

That isn't going to happen until these two pools are finished, however.
