180 Paper Cards plus a 16 card booster - Vintage Restrictions - No Budget Restrictions (well outside P9)

Welcome to Vintage Cube Extension - an extension for the Base Cube

This is the Vintage extension (180 +16 cards) for the Base Cube (360 cards) to extend it to 540 cards, support existing and add new archetypes. New archetypes are Storm, Artifacts Matter and 5c Non-Sense with a lot of additional and known combos throughout.

*It is not playable on its own. *

As I keep the extension cube separate from the base cube it helps to also have a cube page to manage it. I also keep it close to the MTGO Vintage cube.

Note: The cube features one extra booster called the Sapphire Booster with 16 additional cards. It is added to the draft in case somebody picks the card Lore Seeker. Cards from this booster are highlighted in blue.

As I do not own any power, P9 and a few other expensive cards are proxied and therefore highlighted in pink.

If you're interested in my cubes and how this Vintage extension plays out in the mix please refer to the Base Cube Overview where I explain the philosophy behind it. If you just want to draft this Vintage cube (with the Base Cube) look here: Big Vintage cube

Additional Supported Archetypes
  • ur – Artifacts Matter
  • ubrg – Storm

The following, slighty outdated PDF contains typical cards and key / signal cards of each archtype in the Base Cube and its extensions like this. As these are standard archetypes I leave you with searching the web for a more indepth view into each of them. Also I try to keep combos the same as in current MTGO Vintage Cubes.

The new archetypes in Vintage demand a different spread of cards per color dipping heavier into Grixis. Also the distribution of P9 and individual strength of iconic cards in Magics history point into a similar direction. That is why you'll find less W and G cards in this cube extension.
