Welcome to the Altered Base Cube

This is a version of the Base Cube (360 cards) with all altered cards, special artworks etc. which I only use for my experienced play group. There are foils and non foils as well as a lot of alters in that cube. I do not like foils too much but there are a lot of cards which only have foil alternate artwork, so what can you do.

I started to work on this alternate art version of the Base Cube mainly to capture the feeling of opening a pack and being excited by not knowning (or recognizing) what's inside. So I tend to go for the most obstructive or different artwork that exists for any given card. I love alters and therefore own lots that are borderless extensions which is not always that different from the original. But these are still legal in our local tournaments. I also like when the name and text box is preserved since it helps a lot during play. So as a result I am probably somewhere inbetween "most obstructive" and "still pretty orderly" reg. altered cards.
