Hi!
I'm what I guess would be considered an old player, having started back in around 1997. The way I look at Magic is tinted by an early fascination with sets that were released before I started playing, a desire to cast powerful spells and a bit of an aversion to power creep in creatures. I love cubing because it allows you to mix so many different things: The thrill of drafting and the feeling of strong constructed decks.
My main cube is [Powered]FUNFUN, a cube I've been designing and maintaining since about 2013, which tries to tie nostalgia to playability, inspired in the way more modern Legacy decks look like.
The Depths of Dominaria is a more or less static cube that I designed as a way to showcase older cards within a more stable power level. Having felt the charm of the environments of The Dark, Fallen Empires and Homelands, this cube is a slightly more playable take on what these sets do.
Overlap Powerlap is a new cube I'm working on, trying to showcase interesting interactions at a lower power level in a way that I'd enjoy drafting with more defined archetypes and some relevant overlap throughout the cube.
Cubes are always a work in progress, and I expect changes in my main cubes when I feel these are worth it for the fun of playing!
