I played and enjoyed Magic for a few years as a kid but never found a long-term playgroup. It was replaced by WoW during the peak of MMO's in the mid-2000's. Now that I'm a bit older and spent a decade working in technology, I value face-to-face time and ways to connect away from the computer. I've acquired a decent board game collection and curate my cube along with a handful of commander decks for game nights with friends.

Much of my TCG play time is now Flesh & Blood, but I still enjoy the puzzle of Magic cubes and tinker with my cubes with each new set.
