If you are new to Cube, or do not know what Cube is, Cube consists of 8 players drafting from 3 packs of 15 cards each. The cube covers a wide range of Magic: The Gathering cards, including cards from Standard legal sets, Commander, Universes Beyond, Alchemy, and more. Our cube promises a diverse and dynamic drafting experience with a plethora of powerful cards from Magic's extensive history. The cube mostly drafts three color decks, but can draft two and four and five color decks as well. Gold, or two and three color cards, have a strong emphasis in our cube, and thus we have added lots of lands to make sure you can cast your cards with all your colors. Our Cube features five cards of each dual color pair and two of each triple color. These cards serve as signposts of the themes and strategies of those colors and we will provide a brief description for each of them. Our focus is always on drafting with new, powerful cards that keep our cube fresh and exciting. >>> ### {W}{U} AZORIUS {W}{U} <<< Azorius is made up of White({W}) and Blue({U}) and features cards that counter and disrupt your opponent, while letting you benefit from enter the battlefield effects additional times. | Cards | Descriptions | |:----------:|:----------:| |[[No More Lies]]|A strong counterspell that exiles the countered spell if your opponent doesn't pay {3}. Useful when playing on curve and you have other Instant or Flash spells to cast if your opponent doesn't cast anything.| |[[Reflector Mage]]|A good tempo card that bounces your opponent's creature to their hand and makes it so they can't cast it next turn. Flickering this creature creates lots of value, disrupting your opponent's plans as you continue to build your board.| |[[Soulherder]]|Three mana for a 1/1 doesn't seem strong at first, but Soulherder gets a +1/+1 counter every time a creature is exiled from the battlefield and flickers a creature you control, potentially getting you a free enter the battlefield ability, while also increasing its power and toughness. The exiled card does not have to be due to Soulherder's ability as well, making it synergize with other exiling cards in the cube. |[[Spell Queller]]|A 2/3 with Flash and Flying is already a strong card, but when Spell Queller enters the battlefield, you may exile a spell with mana cost 4 or less until Spell Queller leaves the battlefield, your opponent then gets to cast the spell for free, so flickering Spell Queller is not always the best idea, but if there is a spell being cast that is better than the already exiled card, it can be a strong combo.| |[[Genku, Future Shaper]]|Genku Rewards you for nontoken permanents leaving the battlefield, rewarding you for an aggressive playstyle or one that revolves around blinking creatures. As well, Genku can put +1/+1 counters on your creatures for {3}{W}{U}, a bit expensive if you don't have a large board, but helpful if you are in a stalled game and drawing blanks.| >>> ### {U}{B} DIMIR {U}{B} <<< Dimir is made up of Blue({U}) and Black({B}) and features cards with a wide range of effects from card draw, life gain and loss, and the graveyard. | Cards | Descriptions | |:----------:|:----------:| |[[Baleful Strix]]|A 1/1 with Deathtouch and Flying that draws you a card for two mana, Baleful Strix is a solid card that can trade with most creatures and replaces itself while also be a beater in the air, albeit a slow one.| |[[Psychic Frog]]|A strange but powerful card from a straight to Modern set. By discarding a card, you can put a +1/+1 counter onto it, then by exiling three cards from your graveyard, it gains flying, making it most of the time, a Flying 4/4 for two mana that draws a card when it deals damage to a Player or Planeswalker. Psychic Frog continues to grow throughout the game and replace the cards you discard while also helping graveyard strategies.| |[[Horrid Shadowspinner]]|A simple lifelink creature in a color combination that usually lacks it. Shadowspinner also filters card draws when it attacks equal to it's power and helps fill your graveyard for strategies that need it.| |[[Rusko, Clockmaker]]|A card from Alchemy, a digital only format, but "Conjuring" a spell works essentially the same as creating a token, however it stays in the game when removed from the battlefield. Rusko is a powerful four mana creature that ramps, gives card draw, and helps you stay in the game by gaining life and dealing 1 damage whenever you cast a non-creature spell. Rusko doesn't have to stay around either, [[Midnight Clock]] is it's own card, that after 6 upkeeps, or sooner if you invest with mana, will shuffle your graveyard and hand into your library and draw you seven cards, then exiling itself.| |[[The Scarab God]]|A Mythic Rare from Amonkhet. The Scarab God is recursive threat that brings back your creatures from the graveyard as 4/4 zombies, scries X and drains your opponent for X, where X is the amount of Zombies you control on upkeep, and is a 5/5 for five mana that keeps coming back, making The Scarab God a powerful card to draft.| >>> ### {B}{R} RAKDOS {B}{R} <<< Rakdos is made up of Black({B}) and Red({R}) and features cards that punish your opponent while giving you advantage with card draw, sacrificing, treasures, and damage. | Cards | Descriptions | |:----------:|:----------:| |[[Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger]]|Kroxa is a two drop that makes your opponent discard a card when played, however, if it didn't escape, you have to sacrifice. After it escapes, however, it is repeatable discard on a 6/6 body.| |[[Judith, the Scourge Diva]]|Judith's first printing, for three mana you get a 2/2 that gives your other creatures +1/+0 and whenever a non-token creature dies, she deals 1 damage to any target. Ideally, the strategy with Judith is low costed creatures that you don't mind dying to get in damage, with some cards in her colors also synergizing with dying themselves.| |[[Kellogg, Dangerous Mind]]|From Fallout, Kellogg is an aggressive three drop with First strike and Haste that creates a [[Treasure]] token. Kellogg also has an ability to sacrifice five Treasure tokens to gain control of target creature for as long as you control Kellogg. His last ability is hard to get to, and may not be even worth the five Treasures, but swinging with 3 power with First strike and getting a Treasure on turn three is strong enough to include him.| |[[Kolaghan's Command]]|This a Modal spell, so there is a lot to go through with this one. For three mana at instant speed, you choose two. Return a creature from your graveyard to your hand. Target player discards a card. Destroy an Artifact. Deal 2 damage to any target. This card acts as recursion, removal, discard, and can even help enable reanimator effects by choosing yourself to discard a card. Most of the time, this card will just remove a small creature and make your opponent discard a card, but can be used as a combat trick or get back a powerful creature.| |[[Rakdos, Patron of Chaos]]|A high end to your curve. Rakdos is a 6/6 with Flying and Trample and makes your opponent choose to sacrifice two nonland, nontoken permanents or you draw two cards. Rakdos gets over blockers and will still deal damage when blocked in the air. His ability will, most of the time, draw you two cards each turn, if he doesn't, you've probably just gained just as much card advantage, if not more, by your opponent sacrificing two cards.| >>> ### {R}{G} GRUUL {R}{G} <<< Gruul is made up of Red({R}) and Green({G}) and features cards that grant card advantage and big powerful creatures. | Cards | Descriptions | |:----------:|:----------:| |[[Stump Stomp]]|Stump Stomp can be played in decks that only have green or red in them, but is best in a deck with both, as it can also be played as a green red land. Stump Stomp deals damage to a creature equal to one of your creature's power, making it a great removal spell in both green and red.| |[[Jarsyl, Dark Age Scion]]|Jarsyl is another card from the Alchemy format with a mechanic called Starting Intensity. Jarsyl, at the beginning of your combat you may cast a spell with mana value 1 from your graveyard without paying for it, then his Intensity increases to two. On your next combat, you may cast a spell with mana value 2, and so on.| |[[Bloodbraid Elf]]|When you cast Bloodbraid Elf, you reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal one with a lesser mana cost than it, then you may cast it. It's also a 4/3 with haste for 4 mana, making it a good turn four drop that gets you another card as well. |[[Xenagos, God of Revels]]|Xenagos is a 5 mana Enchantment Creature that is only a creature if your devotion, the amount of mana symbols you control, is seven or more. While he is only an enchantment, he still gives a creature +X/+X, where X is its power, once per combat.| |[[Dragonlord Atarka]]|At the top of your curve, Atarka deals 5 damage divided among any amount of targets. It's also an 8/8 with Flying and Trample, making it a strong body that get's over most creatures.| >>> ### {W}{G} SELESNYA {W}{G} <<< Selesnya is made up of Green({G}) and White({W}) and features cards that are strong and hard to deal with. | Cards | Descriptions | |:----------:|:----------:| |[[Kudo, King Among Bears]]|Kudo makes every creature a 2/2 and rewards you by using equipment and +1/+1 counters to make your 2/2s bigger than your opponent's.| |[[Qasali Pridemage]]|A two mana 2/2 that can buff a creature attacking alone, including itself, that can also remove an Enchantment or Artifact for one mana. Pridemage is a strong on curve creature with utility.| |[[Faeburrow Elder]]|A mana dork that gets stronger and provides more mana for each color among permanents you control. Elder finds it's home best in four and five color decks, which green is good at supporting.| |[[Sigarda, Host of Herons]]|With Hexproof and stopping your opponents from making you sacrifice permanents, Sigarda is a hard to deal with body with Flying to boot.| |[[Dragonlord Dromoka]]|A strong creature with Flying and Lifelink, Dromoka also makes it so your opponents can't cast spells on you turn as well as it not being able to be countered itself, this lets you play your cards and attack with fear of your opponent having any combat tricks or countering your spells.| >>> ### {W}{B} ORZHOV {W}{B} <<< Orzhov is made up of White({W}) and Black({B}) and features cards that can stall the game. | Cards | Descriptions | |:----------:|:----------:| |[[Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim]]|A 2 mana 2/3 with Deathtouch with a sac outlet that gains you life, or if you have 10 more life than your starting total, exile a nonland permanent. Ayli's defensive stats and Deathtouch make her hard to get around, and her life gain and removal help to keep you in the game longer.| |[[Damn]]|Single target creature removal, or a boardwipe if overloaded. A versatile card to get rid of a single large threat or a large board of smaller creatures.| |[[Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim]]|A 2 mana 2/2 with Deathtouch that gains you life when a creature enters the battlefield under your control, and loses your opponent life when a creature you control dies. A potentially fatal uncommon that helps swing the life totals in your favor.| |[[Ondu Knotmaster]]|For two mana at sorcery speed, you may put two +1/+1 counters distributed among up to two creatures you control, then after that, you can cast it as a creature. As a creature it is a 4 mana 2/2 with lifelink, which isn't great on its own, but gets two +1/+1 counters whenever a modified creature you control dies.| |[[Teysa of the Ghost Council]]|Teysa is another card exclusively from MTG Arena with Starting Intensity 0, but increases every time she enters the battlefield. At your end step, she gets exiled until your next turn, then on your next upkeep she returns to the battlefield with haste. Spirits you control, including herself, get +X+0 equal to her intensity, in paper, it is feasible to keep track of this, and makes for a powerful token generator.| >>> ### {U}{R} IZZZET {U}{R} <<< Izzet is made up of Blue({U}) and Red({R}) and features cards that reward you for casting lots of noncreature spells. | Cards | Descriptions | |:----------:|:----------:| |[[Expressive Iteration]]|Lets you look at the top three cards of your library, choosing to keep one in your hand, exile one and allowing you to play it this turn, and one back into your library. A powerful draw spell that lets you choose how you want to play your cards.| |[[Malcolm, the Eyes]]|Malcolm is an aggressive creature with flying that investigates whenever you cast your second spell each turn. Investigating helps to refill your hand after you've cast two spells in a turn, on top of him being well statted.| |[[Invert Polarity]]|A counterspell with a chance to steal your opponents spell, can swing games in your favor if you win the coin flip.| |[[Bria, Riptide Rogue]]|Bria is a 4 cost 3/3 with prowess that gives your other creatures prowess as well. She also makes it so that target creature can't be blocked whenever you cast a non creature spell. Bria is on the high end of an Izzet based spellslinger deck, but can really help you close out games.| |[[Melek, Reforged Researcher]]|Melek is the high end of Izzet in the cube. His power and toughness are both equal to the number of instant and sorcery spells in your graveyard and makes the first instant or sorcery you play each turn cost {3} less to cast.
