This cube is a Tribal tower cube. Tower cube is a way to play with a stack of cards without needing to draft.
At the start of the game, each player draws 7 cards with no mulligan. To play land you either play a land card or you put a card face down as a land of every color. To draw cards you just draw from the top of your pile. There is not a shared graveyard, exile, or deck. The cards you draw are considered your owned cards for effects.
For this cube more specifically:
Each card in this cube is either a Changeling or a card referring to a creature type (Cat, Demon, Sphinx, etc). There are three of each Changeling card or card that gives changeling or produces changeling tokens.
No cards produce an advantage for opponents cards:
This means that there are no lords (creatures that give stat boost) that affect your opponents' creatures. The reason for this is if you play a lord that is a 2/2 for 3 and your opponent then plays a 2/2 changeling for 2 they now have a 3/3 vs your 2/2.
Cards that negatively affect your opponents can still negatively affect you. There is some mass destruction in this cube, and of course because of the cube restriction the cards affect a certain type or don't effect a certain type, and it is up to you to don't play cards into your own effects.
What is too good?As in other cubes, there are cards that are too good. Even though these cards reference a creature type, they are too good for different reasons.
Lyra Dawnbringer is just in all regards a Baneslayer Angel which as we all know is a card, that can and will win on its own. This is against the design philosophy of this cube, as it is meant as a way to play Changelings. Chance to come in later is possible if more removal which mentions creature types is printed, eg: Weight of Conscience, Deadly Alliance, Squash and Savage Stomp
Unnatural Selection is another way to a powerful card with absolutely no way of ever being a part of this cube, it negates way too many cards with little mana investment, examples of ruined cards could be Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow, Rampage of the Valkyries. It also helps many cards that only work or work better on a certain creature type Undead Slayer and Human Frailty.
Retrofitter Foundry is quite a strong card that again can win on its own, we have seen this in Legacy and it is a reason it will not be in this cube either. Other cards that can produce an army of their own are not included because they can take the game by themselves: Master Trinketeer and Imperious Perfect.
What is too bad?Worthy Knight and other cards that give a small benefit when playing a creature type or a creature type leaving are not good enough to be in this cube examples are Cordial Vampire and Rage Forger. there are some cards that give a good enough benefit or give it for each players creature: Wirewood Hivemaster and Rin and Seri, Inseparable.
How much mana should be spared by Stonybrook Banneret and other mana-reducing cards before they are available, quite a lot. So these cards are of course not played other examples are Dragonspeaker Shaman and Kaalia of the Vast.
There are alt of lords out there and many of them do nothing except give bonus Legion Lieutenant is an example of this. This cube should have some lords, and some of the best ones are kept in: Knight Exemplar and Crucible of Fire.
