Welcome to my Cube!
Over the past 10 years, it has slowly evolved into my foiled masterpiece. I aim to support a variety of archetypes, but I lean towards the power-motivated end of the cube design spectrum.
Design RestrictionsWhile previous versions of this cube only had power level restrictions, the current version of the cube also excludes cards with unfun gameplay patterns (Mother of Runes, Palace Jailer, Broadside Bombardiers). This is entirely subjective (for example, I love Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath).
Beyond that, I bend several traditional cube guidelines.
Singleton breaksI break singleton in three ways - draft 1/get 1 free, draft packages, and singleton breaks.
Draft 1, Get X Free: When you draft these cards, you get some number of extra copies in your draft pool, totaling the number listed:
Draft Packages: When you draft the card on the left, you get the card on the right in your draft pool:
The same is true of these packages, except you must play both if you play either (restrictive draft packages):
Singleton breaks: There are two copies of the following cards in the cube:
AlchemyThere are two alchemy cards in the cube:
Snow cardsEvery basic is a snow basic for Arcum's Astrolabe and Icehide Golem.
Double Fetchlands and ShocksI run two of each fetchland and shockland, because having good mana is fun, and it supports the Lands archetype.
