Cube Intro!Think humans vs monsters! A medium/high-powered, synergy-focused, graveyard-centric cube.
This cube doesn't have any set archetypes for each color pair. Instead, there are a number of archetypes supported across all colors for you to mix and match.
is humans, but there are humans in all colors to tie into the different themes, so don't feel limited to white!
is spells matter, but with a focus on creatures with prowess/that care about spells. Also keep an eye out for clones (you can only draft one Thalia's Lieutenant, but you can always clone it :)
is graveyard matters (so the whole cube). Black gets splashed a lot in this cube. Sacrifice and self mill decks both need black most of the time.
is madness/discard matters. Keep an eye out for discard outlets in any color to combine with your payoffs.
is a do-it-all kind of color. Lots of self-mill, discard, and human support. Also keep an eye out for werewolves in
/
specifically!
Notably, there are no board wipes in the cube and decks should aim to be proactive on some level as true control decks are very difficult to pull together in this environment.
going up to 384 when drafting with 8 players. removing universes beyond cards that feel like flavor disconnects (ghyrson starn and commissar severina raine). cycle of 3 color cards is color balanced and will only be in for 8 person drafts, not the split version of the cube, very excited by these!
