The focus of this cube is to feature cards from the 1997 MTG video game "Shandalar". This includes cards from ABUR, Legends, The Dark, Antiquities, Arabian Nights, as well as ante cards. This cube also features a "shopping" mechanic between rounds.

The packs should be curated with the following rarity distributions:

Rares/MythicsUncommonsCommons
258

If doing 5 packs of 9 cards, do this instead:

Rares/MythicsUncommonsCommons
1 (last pack 2)35 (last pack 4)

Players will play for ante in best-of-one matches in a round robin tournament format.

At the end of every round, 9 random cards from the cube are revealed as the "shop" (2 rare/mythic, 3 uncommon, 4 common). Players may make one purchase from the shop by selling one or more cards from their card pool with total value equal to the card they wish to purchase. Turn order is determined in reverse standings order. So players with worse records get to shop first, and players with the best records shop last. Cards players sell are returned to the cube box. Any leftover shop cards are also returned to the cube box.

The value of a card is based on its rarity. You can see the value of each rarity in the table below.

Cards sell for half of their value. So if you wish to purchase a Rare from the shop (worth 8 points), you would need to sell 1 mythic, or 2 rares, or 4 uncommons, or 8 commons, or any combination of those that would have sell value worth 8 points.
