This Cube started as a clone of SCGCON Players' Cube [Pauper]. I have been adding and removing cards at my leisure since I acquired it.

The SCG CON Winter Players' Cube was partially created by Justin Parnell, and partially voted on by the community. Justin Parnell started by selecting a base of 250 cards to lay the groundwork for archetypes, general curve, and Cube identity.

Each of the remaining 110 slots were voted on by the community. Once a day, players could vote for two slots. Each vote consisted of three cards that were somewhat similar, but with key differences that helped shape the Cube. For example, one vote allowed players to choose between Archaeomancer, Mneumonic Wall, and Salvager of Secrets (Archaeomancer won). Justin Parnell designed the buckets such that all cards voted on were the same color.

The Cube contains 50 cards of each color, 5 cards of each two-color combination, 25 colorless cards, and 35 lands. The Cube has only Commons, with a few exceptions for Pauper format staples such as Battle Screech and Channel's Edict. Notable cards which are not in this Cube include Preordain, Searing Blaze, and Ash Barrens, mostly due to cost considerations at the time of SCG CON.
