Some information
  • ⏩ If you don't know how to play a cube online for free you can see my YouTube video! I explain it :)

  • The cards are separated by mana cost so, for instance, Avacyn's Pilgrim is g and not g-w and Dismember is b-p and not b.

  • s and e are not supported. If you want to add some Snow Basics you can see my list of snow cards to add.

  • All the archetypes are well balanced and are powerful.

  • All the cards are useful and have a good place in at least one archetype! Some of the cards belong to the sideboard and others are unique to this cube.

  • The new sets are in the maybeboard. You need to click on Display -> Show Maybeboard

FAQ

Why the number of cards by color isn't equal?

u has 4/9 power nine cards, it has in general the best in the game cards too. u is also a great splash color in any archetype. Unlike blue, g does not have a lot of excellent cards so it's normal that this color has less cards than the others. That's why this cube is balanced: balanced is not always color equilibrium.

Why there is no equilibrium in the mana-rocks?

If you go analyse some EDH decklists you will quickly notice that some colors don't benefit having a lot of mana rocks. For example, g-r decks only run Sol Ring (I don't need to explain why :P) and nothing else: it's the only artifact! Those kind of decks have a lot of ramp so why will they need mana rocks?
Other archetypes really need a 2-drop to be good. For example, if you can enter Glory-Bound Initiate in your w or w-r deck you will be happier that if you enter a Boros Signet.

Why there is no equilibrium in the lands?

Some decklists need both colors early in the game. For example, if you run a w-r deck you will need to have access to you one-drops no matter what they color is. Other archetypes do not need both colors early game, for example, g-u Midrange needs it's g one-drops at the begining of the game and later on it will add some u to play cards like Uro or Edric.
That's why aggressive colors have more lands that midrange and control colors.

Supported archetypes

You can always splash more colors but here is the core:

Unsupported Archetypes

Those archetypes are unsupported because they are too hard to build or they power is too weak. They are very strong in Vintage and Legacy constructed but they lack power in Vintage Cube.

b Graveyard
g Elves
g, w, r Eldrazi
w-u Standstill
u-b Ninjas
u-b Doomsday + Thassa's Oracle
r-b Goblins
w-g Argothian Enchantress
g-b Dredge
u-g Merfolk
brg Goblin Charbelcher
gur Food Chain
bgu Aluren
ubrg Ad Nauseam
gwub Cephalid Illusionist
wubrg Worldgorger Dragon

Those colors don't have defined archetypes:

g-w
b-w
g-b
rgw
rwb
wbg
wubr
ubrg
brgw
gwub

Known Combos and Interactions
Kiki / Twin

Kiki or Twin + any of those cards

7 draw

pick one from each set:

Sneak Attack

Fastbond

Sacrifice Control

Sacrifice your tokens and make them sacrifice their good stuff

Winter Orb

Life

Punishing Fire

Big drops

Sideboard

There are some of the cards that are there to be in your Sideboard. They are not very good in your Mainboard. For example, Baneslayer Angel is a great side versus Aggro.

You can see the sideboard card list here

More archetypes

Here are two archetypes that you can consider too. You can cut some cards you don't like or you can even surpass the card limit I chose. You are not obligated to add all the cards in the list, this is just a list of good cards for each archetype.

Graveyard/Dredge

Even if in Vintage/Legacy constructed this archetype is very good, I don't think that it is very strong in a Powered Cube because it's hard to build.

Artifact/Artifact Aggro

You can add a bunch of cards in this list to make a Artifact Aggro archetype viable. It could be very strong if you can construct it!

If you want to help r Aggro (I recommend to add the u-w package before):

Blink ETB

You can add a w-u Blink archetype too (there are more cards to consider, those are few of them):

Rakdos Aggro

This archetype works very well with the Graveyard/Dredge one!

Other archetypes

You can also consider those archetypes but I don't think that they are good enough in this Cube:
w-b Aristocrats
w-g Midrange

Snow cards

This deck has no snow cards. Thosre are the best in my opinion if you want to add them:

Non-legal cards

You can add Vintage non-legal cards :) those are the best IMO:

Draft cards

If you want to add some fun cards to draft you can consider those ones (there are others but I think that those are the best):
note: untap.in does not support those kind of cards

If you chose Lore Seeker you should add another pack to your draft. Go see this section to see what you can add :)
