Sample 2-color decks built from My Pauper Cube. These showcase how each guild is played in the cube.
How to playBuild the decks from the cube, every player chooses one and then play against each other. You can in any format you like: 1vs1, free-for-all, 2-headed giant, etc.
If you happen to be 5 players you can play a special free-for-all game mode:
Guild WarsWith 5 players each picks one of the 5 allied coloured decks. Players sit in a pentagon shape based on the color of their decks in the following order:
This way every player sits next to players who don't share one of their colours (enemy guilds) and across players who they do share colours with (allied guilds). Players can only attack their enemies (the players next to them) with their creatures, but can target all players with their spells.
A player wins when the players playing their enemy guilds have been eliminated, regardless of who eliminated them, although defeated players cannot win.
For more details see the MTG Fandom Wiki Article
Guild Wars with enemy-coloured guildsGuild Wars can also be played with the enemy colours. In this case the players need to sit in this order:
The rules and win conditions are the same as with allied-coloured guilds: Players can only attack their neighbours with creatures and win if both players next to them have been eliminated. Defeated players cannot win.
