Up to 8 players draft a more powerful version of Core Set 2019 limited, expanded with M20 and M21. Pack design imitates the original draft boosters but rebalances rarity.
β’ π Embellish a piece of magic's booster history.
--> keep as much of the original format intact while creating a more modern, deep and varied limited environment
β’ βοΈ Balance trumps pure nostalgia.
--> rebalance card distribution, rarity and, in some cases, oracle text
--> nerf overpowered bombs and cut unplayable draft-chaff
--> balance the mana curve of each color and further support archetype synergies to make any color-combination fun and playable.
β’ π Make flavorful additions from other releases that fit the set's themes, art and mechanics.
--> Timeshifted or Bonus-Sheet type of inserts that create extra variance and surprise veteran drafters.
β’ πͺπΌ Gameplay feels more like block constructed decks rather than the original booster-draft format as decks are generally more powerful.
--> Commons are still valuable, decks are just more synergistic and reliable (fixing, mana curve)
β’ π€πΌ Drastic reworks are optional to also include players looking for a more traditional set-cube experience.
β’ πΈ Small & Affordable
--> Easy assembly, low barrier to entry

All cards are M19, M20 or M21.
Each player gets 3 packs of 15 cards, each containing:
1 Dual-land, 2 Rares, 4 Uncommons, 8 Commons
Commons have multiple copies. Uncommons, rares and mythics are singleton.
Bombs like Ajani and Chandra are designated 'mythics' and placed in the last booster to ensure no one open 6 S-Tier bombs in their sealed pool.
Furthermore I nerfed a few bombs by adjusting their mana cost or abilities. In case you are looking for an extra balanced draft of the format, apply these changes:
: Flyers Empyrean Eagle
: Reanimator Control Obsessive Stitcher
: Sacrifice Brawl-Bash Ogre
: Ramp, 4 Power Matters (Leafkin Avenger
: +1/+1 counters Conclave Mentor
: Lifegain Regal Bloodlord
: Spellslinging Enigma Drake
: Attrition Poison-Tip Archer
: Go Wide Heroic Reinforcements
: Draw Matters Lorescale Coatl

When you have all required cards, sort them by rarity and shuffle each rarity pile. Dual lands marked as 'rarity:special' as a separate pile.
Start with bomb mythics: lay them out next to one another, like pile shuffling with 24 piles. You should have 8 cards in piles. Put the other rares until you have 24 single-card piles. Now put a common over each bomb mythic (first 8) and a rare over each normal rare. You should have 24 2-card piles.
Put 16 uncommons first and then 8 rares over the piles - you should have 24 3-card piles.
Hard parts done - now put an uncommon on every pile one for one until all are gone. Put all commons the same way. Lastly put a dual land on each pile.
You should have 24 15-card boosters. Draft with 4-8 players or play sealed with up to 4 players
GW Enchantments is too narrow and has no archetype overlap with other colors.
GW now cares about +1/+1 counters and synergizes well with GR 4 power matters.
UB was general "control" which is fine but m21 had reanimator as an archetype for UB and I decided to adapt it for this cube. With 6 reanimation spells in the cube you'll still be playing control, too.
