Descend into the Aggro Zone

The second of my set cubes. Some cards have been shifted in rarity, others removed. Additionally, some friends from the Commander set make an appearance.

Packs are structured likeso:
Slot 1: A rare
Slot 2: A land that will fix your mana some. These are mostly Caves, but there's also a set of Restless lands.
Slots 3-5: Uncommons.
Slots 6-10: A common of each color
Slots 11-15: Commons of any color (including colorless).

Cheat Sheet:

🏃 Format Speed: Very fast for retail limited. Having a turn 2 play is vital, having a turn 1 play that matters is a significant advantage.
🌈 Limited Archetypes:

Archetypes

urPirates' Plunder - Pirate/Artifact Aggro

Rush in with Pirate creatures that get stronger when you pair them with Artifacts!

rwThousand-Moon Legion - Go-Wide Artifact Aggro

Tap down your creatures and trinkets to get additional value and damage! This was advertised as a Midrange deck, but it's better to think of it as a straightforward aggro strategy with good reach and value generation.

gwMalamet Tactics - Buffs Aggro

This color pair was advertised as having a focus on buffing your creatures, but there's no payoffs for doing so outside of the gold legends. Works fine as a straightforward aggro strategy.

rbGoing Down! - Descend Aggro

Advertised as caring about getting a Descend each turn to trigger your creatures, but focusing on that strategy proved ineffective—the mostly-defensive Black cards don't support a strategy of throwing away cards for less than a card's worth of payoff. Although Red is the most aggressive color, and black the most defensive, the two share good removal as a key strength. Best played by leaning into one color's strengths—a very aggressive primarily-red deck that makes use of black removal to win tempo, or a primarily-black controlling deck that makes use of red removal to stay alive

wuOltec Ingenuity - Artifact Midrange

Fill your board and graveyard with artifacts, then craft them away to flip powerful crafts! Although advertised as a control strategy, this color pair is very flexible and can be quite aggressive if it drafts enough cheap flyers.

rgDinosaurs of the Sun Empire - Dino Midrange

Slam big dinos down with powerful kindred synergies and run over your opponent!

ugRiver Herald Expedition - Explore Midrange

Explore for bigger creatures and extra lands so you can play more solid creatures!

bgFungal Festering - Descend Midrange

Defensive black cards will help you fill the grave with permanents, then reanimate or cast big green beaters!

bwDusk Legion Pilgrimage - Sacrifice

Fill your board with cheap trinkets and creatures, and then sacrifice them for value!

ubEchoes of the Dead - Descend Control

Drag out the game while filling your graveyard with permanents, then use them to fuel powerful payoffs!

Caves

If you draft certain Uncommon payoffs, you can get powerful effects off of your Cave count. This strategy combines well with a self-mill strategy since many of these payoffs count Caves both in the graveyard and on the battlefield.
