I've taken the preconstructed decks from the Ravnica Guild Kits (GK1 & GK2), switched up a few cards to make the decks singleton and work well in multiplayer, and added special Clue rules from Ravnica: Clue Edition.
How did this come about? So back when GRN and RNA came out in 2018-2019, they sold 10 "Guild Kits" which contained 60-card reconstructed decks, one for each Ravnican Guild. I bought all of them to keep as a collection of balanced decks to play casual games with. I even got sleeves with each guild's insignia on them.
Eventually, I got really into Commander and these decks just sat on a shelf for a while.
At MagicCon Chicago in 2024, I played Ravnica: Clue Edition and LOVED it. I wanted to play it with my home group. I had a few options for this:
I've created a custom card called Guildpact's Wish that I'm including in each of the decks.
Guildpact's Wish is a colorless sorcery that costs 2 generic mana. It reads "Exile a nonland card you own with a watermark from the battlefield, your hand, or your graveyard. Choose a card from outside the game with the same watermark, reveal it, and put it in your hand. The chosen card is now part of your deck and the exiled card is removed from your deck. Exile Guildpact's Wish."
The cube will contain a large "sideboard" of cards (represented by the Maybeboard on the CubeCobra List page). When you cast Guildpact's Wish, you can take a look at the sideboard and swap one of the cards in your hand, on the battlefield, or in your graveyard with one of the cards in the sideboard. The cards have to have the same watermark (be from the same Guild. This permanently changes your deck across games, and adds a "Legacy" element to the whole box.
The card Environmental Sciences is used in the CubeCobra list to represent this card, as they have the same cost and card type.
