My “classic” style, unpowered cube. The basic design philosophy is to run the best cards, with a bias towards individual card quality over synergies. For personal taste, “best” excludes anything I deem to be so ludicrously good that it would be a mandatory first pick over all other cards in the cube (think Sol Ring), and sometimes “best” includes pet cards.
Technical design notes (for cube nerds):
Double shock lands in the mana base because fuck the Reserve List (and ABU duals). Double fetch lands (for now) because good mana is fun. Booster Tutor and Lore Seeker grab undrafted packs from the cube (the cube is intentionally oversized to accommodate both cards even at 10 players). All basics are snow. Kiki/Twin is the only intentionally supported combo.
