CUBE ID: CWX
A large cube with a ton of possibilities in a mid power level environment, mainly from sets that I enjoyed playing in limited or constructed. Think Pioneer + old favorites. Singleton, with the exception of fixing lands. There are two of each fetch land, three of each shock land along with a few painful options.
I also include a cycle of custom hybrid 1-drop creatures. I designed these creatures to fill roles in each color pair, and to help smooth turn-1 plays, especially important for aggressive decks.
Color Pair Overview:
Decks in Azorius will typically focus on control, but also have access to blinking and bouncing creatures.
Dimir: Drain your opponent's resources with hand disruption, kill and counter spells, then use their best stuff for yourself.
Rakdos: Red and black have great removal and recursion options, along with sacrifice outlets and payoffs.
Gruul: Fast, aggressive and large.
Selesnya: +1/+1 counters abound, along with tokens.
Orzhov: Threats that don't mind dying, because they can come back.
Izzet: Spells matter.
Golgari: The midrange deck that oozes value.
Boros: Best played as a mono color deck (your turn 1 plays should be mostly the same color) that splashes for support in the other color. Draft your fetches and dual lands highly for consistency!
