A card’s mana value is the cost printed at the top right and does not change. Hybrid generic cards have the highest possible mana value (e.g. spectral procession’s mana value is six).
Changeling only adds creature types - not land types (desert), enchantment types (shrine) or spell types (arcane). E.g. you cannot splice blessed breath onto nameless inversion (but it would still trigger tallowisp as a spirit spell)
When casting a spell for free (e.g. electrodominance) additional costs are not covered (e.g. you can pay kicker, and must sacrifice or discard for bone splinters).
Only one alternate cost can be used - you cannot use awaken on clutch of currents if casting for free via goblin dark-dwellers. Delve can be used as it is cost reduction.
If an aura comes into play without being cast - (e.g. flickerwisp) it does not target and can be placed on otherwise invalid targets (e.g. kodama of the north tree). The opponent also can’t kill the chosen creature “in response”.
You cannot produce colorless when “choosing a color” for cards like fertile ground. Wastes is not a basic land type (it’s a basic land with no land type) and cannot be chosen with cards like pixie illusionist
If you bestow it is no longer a creature - a bestowed indebted spirit will not trigger celestial kirin and you cannot "flash bestow" with scout's warning. A bestow creature is also only an aura when bestowed (cannot be tutored with tallowisp).
Changelings have the army creature type - bleeding edge will put counters on changelings instead of creating a token. If you control an army token and a changeling you choose where to place the counters.
Attaching auras with evershrike requires legal targets - you cannot use its ability with overgrowth for example.
A card with “do x if y” always triggers and checks for the condition, but “if y do x” only triggers if condition is met. You can pump a creature with Mayael's Aria on the stack - but you cannot volatile claws to make demons for Liliana's contract).
Gods are creatures by default in all zones, devotion count is only active while on the battlefield. You can use vigor mortis on thassa, god of the sea with one blue devotion as it is a creature in the graveyard even though it will not be on the battlefield.
As foretold sucks, forsaken monument too good, think a bit more fixing would be better for lands.
