This is a gimmick cube curated around 17Lands.com data which is populated by premier drafts on MTG Arena. It is a whimsical archive of memory lane for past limited retail formats.

For each set of paper-only cards with enough GIH WR (game in hand win rate) information, this cube has the sets' most winningest cards from the three rarity bands (rares/mythics as a single band, uncommons, and commons) of each color.
If a rarity band has a colorless card that is not part of a cycle that has a higher win rate than the best of at least one colored card, that colorless card is included as well. The winningest multicolored card of each rarity band is also included.

Duplicates are avoided, if a later set would have a duplicate entry, the next winningest card of its color & rarity is added instead.

This means most sets with complete data contribute a minimum of 15 cards (5 colors x 3 rarity bands), with most contributing 17-18 cards.

Lands
Some cards have interaction with land subtypes--such as snow, gates, domain, and deserts. Lands here are kept at around 12.5% of the cube filled mostly with dual land cycles of those types. A potential is to add more 5 color lands such as Evolving Wilds or Prismatic Vistas.

Optional quality of life rules
Seed each pack's 15th card with a random land. If you do, don't include the duplicate gates/deserts/snow lands in packs. This ensures packs aren't land-heavy and that enough get distributed around.
Treat all face-down cards as having Ward 2 (treating like Disguise and Cloak, even if cards from Duskmourn don't have this ability). This prevents tracking issues between different face-down mechanics.

Set added dates
Data pulled after the next premier set is fully previewed, allowing formats to mature and complete.

ELD has some poor data because it was bot only, so some extra curating was appropriate.

Non-land duplicates are weeded out. If a card in a later format is still the winningest card of a band, the next best card of that color band is added.
