cEDH CUBE

The cEDH Cube is a high-powered cube designed to be drafted and played with 4 players building 80 card singleton EDH-style decks. This cube focuses on some of the strongest combos/ cards throughout magic's history while still giving players the ability to win by simply turning dudes sideways.
The list of available commanders can be found here.
It is highly recommended that you at least read through the Draft, Deckbuilding, and Gameplay Rules before drafting if this is your first time drafting the cEDH Cube.

DRAFT RULES
  • The draft is done in 3 stages in order:
    • The Commander Draft - You draft from a pack of 3 random commanders (these will be your options for commanders defining the color restrictions for your deck)
      • Alternatively, if you somehow find it necessary, you may instead use 2 The Prismatic Pipers, though it is highly recommended you avoid doing so for obvious reasons
    • The Main Draft - You draft from 6 packs of 15 random cards, this will make up the spells in your deck
      • The conspiracy card Worldknit allows you to run any card you have drafted in your deck even if they are outside of your commanders color identity and makes all of your lands tap for WUBRG but requires that you run every card you have drafted your deck (this is an exception to the regular deckbuilding rules requirement). A player who drafts Worldknit is not required to run it
    • The Land Draft - You will draft from a pack of 15 random non-basic lands
DECKBUILDING RULES
  • Players will reveal their commanders after the Land Draft before deck construction

  • Players must build 80 card decks including their commanders (unless building a Worldknit deck, in which case there is no required deck size so long as you run all of the cards in your draft pool)

  • All cards in your deck must be within the color identity of your commander

  • Legendary cards drafted during the Commander Draft stage may not be used in your main deck

  • Legendary cards drafted during The Main Draft may not be used as your commander

  • Any amount of basic lands can be used

  • If you run The Raven's Warning in your deck, keep all the unplayed cards from your draft to be used for the last chapter. (The card does not have to be within your commanders color identity)

GAMEPLAY RULES
  • Players begin the game with 30 life (commander damage is still 21)

  • The seating position is randomized as the player with the conspiracy card Power Play will go first

TIPS / NOTES

DRAFTING TIPS / NOTES

DECKBUILDING TIPS / NOTES

  • It is typically recommended to run 26 lands/ mox, or less if you have a large amount of ramp, for 80 card decks.

  • For a Worldknit deck it is typically recommended to run 44 lands/ mox (there is no required deck size for a Worldknit deck, though you must run all cards you have drafted)

  • The most common number in the cube for Talion, the Kindly Lord is 2 by significant amount
