Two-Headed Giant / Multiplayer Cube because Battlebond is a nifty thing!
Meant to be drafted and played primarily as THG, with emphasis on cards that work well in multiplayer formats. Can also be drafted for 4 player free-for-alls, but expect a LOT of politics if you do so.
Uses the 6 packs per team/3 packs per player rule as opposed to Battlebond's 4 packs per team rule so it can be drafted as either THG or Multiplayer. Draft 2 cards per pick as usual if drafting it for THG games.
The packs also have a unique structure, which is as follows:
1 guaranteed common nonbasic land slot
9 commons
3 uncommons
1 rare/mythic
2 draft-defining cards
For a total of 16 cards per pack. But, "What are "draft-defining cards"?", you ask? Well, these are a special group that include both the Conspiracies and Draft Effect cards from Conspiracy2, as well as all Battlebond partners(minus Rowan and Will for now).
If you're drafting THG, to guarantee that the Partners will show up together, the owner/person(s) who will prepare the packs for the Cube Draft has to do as follows:
Separate all these specific Draft-Defining cards in two groups: one with all Conspiracy2 draft-defining cards (minus Sovereign's Realm and Explore), and then one with all Partners, including Explore + Sovereign's Realm as if they were a Partner pair(this I guess is up to drafter preference, but it's how I do it currently).
Shuffle all the cards in the Conspiracy2 group together, and slot 2 of each in packs at random.
For the Partners group, you have to make sure the correct Partners are together, and slot them together in packs at random.
You can then just shuffle the actual packs so the drafters won't know which packs have the Partners and which have Draft effects until they are actually drafting them.
For non-THG pods, I believe there's no harm in either randomizing all of the Draft-Defining cards as a single group, and then slotting 2 of each at random in each pack, OR making sure the correct Partners appear in a single pack despite the lack of a double pick. Alternatively, you could just draft with 2 picks instead of 1 so that Partners still work "as intended". It's all up to preference, really.
Also, keep in mind that the Conspiracy2 cards with draft effects don't work in Sealed. If you're going for Sealed, either replace those with cycles of your own fancy, or make up your own rules for how they would function there.
Also also, very low-power/low-budget cube, as it tries to emulate the power level of an actual Set Booster Draft, due to my own preference. Y'can Power/Spice it up at your own leisure!
