Cloned from Lord of the Rings (LotR) standalone 360
Very excited about the new LotR release...trying to put together a 360-card cube using cards from the set.
Included 3 copies of staple commons, 2 of each non-legendary uncommon and 1 of each relevant rare and legendary creature. Exceptions can be found to encourage certain builds or balance purposes.
The cube plays a little different than booster draft, with naturally a few more "bomby" legendary creatures and artifacts. As such, the amount of answers for each is increased slightly and carries a higher premium. It is still incredibly fun and the lore makes it even better!
Quick breakdown of color combinations:
: Halflings and their love for food
: Draw 2 cards per turn matters, flying birds
: Humans and 1/1 Human Soldier tokens with supporting Equipment and Spells
: A little bit of tokens, little bit of food, and plenty of access to removal
: Amass with tempo control, bounce and card draw
: Instant and sorcery spells matter
: Scry, scry and scry some more!
: Amass aggro, menace, sacrifice and of course, removal
: Big dudes (mostly trees) with little Elves, Orcs and removal
: Ramp, 4 power matters, Fight and Bite
All colors have access to Ring Tempting spells, perhaps have more than others.
2-color decks are the norm, although 3-color decks are fairly common to allow a very healthy number of powerful legends to be played. 4+ color decks are even possible as Aragorn, the Uniter is one of the most powerful creatures in the set.
