Got an itch to build a cube around some archetypes I like. The goal is to be relatively balanced while building around some non-constructed playable archetypes that I find super fun.
ArchetypesWhite - artifacts Zabaz, the Glimmerwasp | Ethersworn Canonist | Losheel, Clockwork Scholar
Blue - tempo/aggro/small dudes Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive | Warkite Marauder | Vendilion Clique
Black - Aristocrats, but it's opponents creatures Slaughter Specialist | Kaervek, the Spiteful | Golgari Charm | Tribute to Horobi
Red - Treasures Generous Plunderer | Xorn | Hellkite Tyrant
Green - +1/+1 counters Ornery Tumblewagg | Tributary Instructor | Ozolith, the Shattered Spire
I leaned towards enemy pairs when building this cube. I only included the enemy Shocks, not the ally ones. Most of the multicolored cards are in the enemy pairs. Ally paired decks are still possible, and I included plenty of fixing for them.
Most multicolored decks are going to be one archetype splashing support cards from another color.
Legends is hard, there aren't enough cards.
Tokens isn't fun to deal with in a physical sense. Having to keep a million tokens available and then dig through them during the games are a hassle.
The entire archetype is getting replaced with +1/+1 counters.
