This cube (currently in the theory crafting stage) is designed to facilitate an environment wherein the players develop their own pool of cards which pass between players via ante and (potentially) trading. The difference here is that players are expected to retain their card pool between many sessions and will be allowed to take cards home with them. Players will have the opportunity to expand their card pools with intermittent sealed sessions to keep things fresh. The point of this whole experiment is to attempt recreating the original experience which early magic designers intended when designing the ante mechanic and add stakes to the game without players actually having to lose their real cards.

Players will need to build full 60 card decks and to facilitate this, the cube will have multiple copies of certain cards and fewer of others so players have the opportunity to build around their favorite cards from their pool, but certain powerful cards are more rare and there might be only one in the entire limited environment.

for my personal build of this cube, all the cards will be proxied with alternate backs to eliminate any potential confusion as to which cards are part of the cube and which arent. This also, of course, lowers the total price tag on this thing.
