Welcome to Ray Gothica! A mid-power combat oriented cube.

Ray Gothica: where eidolons haunt shattered stars and forgotten war-machines patrol forgotten ground. Rich artifacts and magics from plane-shattering wars lie unclaimed, waiting for those with the wit and equipment to claim them. This is a plane unlike any you've been to before, where you'll need to use everything at your disposal to win.

My goals making this cube are two-fold - I wanted the creatures to be modular, using mechanics like Bestow, Modify etc to make equipments and auras present and feel-good in gameplay. Many creatures are auras or equipments or vice-versa - be careful. Living Weapon and For Mirrodin! trigger different payoffs on cast.

This lead into my second goal - having a cube that's mostly artifacts and enchantments makes white and green the de-facto control colors. This opens up space for black and white to play more creature-oriented strategies, while red sits in the middle, with artifact destruction in hand but enchantments staying evasive.

Themes are spread across colors, though Red and Green have stepped into the control slot, with Blue and Black being more proactive.
A SAMPLING OF ARCHETYPES
Changelings - Golems, Constructs, Myr and Slivers overlap with a handful of other Lords and tribal effects, united by Shapeshifters! Changelings can be used to take advantage of powerful incidental effects like Harmonic Sliver or Midnight Arsonist. There's also powerful incidental value with cards like Manaweft Sliver or Xathrid Necromancer.
Equipment and Auras combine to make Voltron strategies viable and fun. Bestow alongside buildarounds like Valduk and Kor Spiritdancer incentivize gearing up your creatures.
