540 Paper Cards plus a 16 Card Booster - Mainly Legacy Restrictions - No Budget Restrictions

Welcome to Big Legacy Cube

This is a 540 card Legacy cube consisting of the Base Cube (360 cards) and the Legacy Cube Extension (180 cards). Both parts are managed in CubeCobra as separate cubes. This cube on CubeCobra is meant for test drafting. The Base Cube is playable on its own while the extension is not.

Note: The cube features one extra booster called the ruby booster with 16 additional cards each. They are added to the draft in case somebody picks the card Booster Tutor. Cards from this booster are highlighted in red. The cube also features a global enchantment so that all Undead creatures like Spirits, Vampires and Zombies are one tribe.

If you're interested in my cubes and how this Big Legacy cube is constructed refer to the Base Cube Overview where I explain the philosophy behind it.

This cube especially is a version of the Base Cube (360 cards) and Legacy Extension (180 +16 cards) with all altered cards, special artworks etc. which I only use for my experienced play group. There are foils and non foils as well as a lot of alters in that cube. I do not like foils too much but there are a lot of cards which only have foil alternate artwork, so what can you do.

I started to work on this alternate art version of the Big Legacy Cube after I finished altering my Base Cube mainly to capture the feeling of opening a pack and being excited by not knowning (or recognizing) what's inside. Also the Legacy extension often serves as a safe haven for beautifully altered cards that drop out of the Base Cube due to being powercrept out of the format.

I tend to go for the most obstructive or different artwork that exists for any given card. I love alters and therefore own lots that are borderless extensions which is not always that different from the original. But these are still legal in our local tournaments. I also like when the name and text box is preserved since it helps a lot during play. So as a result I am probably somewhere inbetween "most obstructive" and "still pretty orderly" reg. altered cards.
