I’ve played around with making a bunch of cubes, but this is the first one I’m planning to buy in paper. Outside some outliers that I already own like Sheoldred and Mana Confluence, the cube costs 120 while still having some decently strong cards like Bonecrusher Giant or Monastery Mentor.
THEMES:
: Prowess/Spellslinger
Load up on noncreature spells, especially instants and sorceries, to trigger your creature payoffs like prowess. White’s prowess cards lean more midrange, Blue’s more control, and Red’s more aggro.
: Graveyard Value/Self-mill
Fill your graveyard with a variety of cards, including creatures with escape/embalm or spells with flashback. Then use your graveyard to power spells with abilities like delve or delirium.
: Reckless Aggro
An all-out aggro deck that doesn’t care if its creatures die in the process. Swing recklessly to trigger abilities like raid, or sacrifice them to pay for spells and abilities. But don’t worry - many of them can return to fight another day.
: Stompy Midrange/Ramp
Build up to big threatening creatures that you can cast ahead of curve. Use activated abilities or adventures to spend mana efficiently.
: +1/+1 Counters/Tokens
Recruit an army of tokens, then buff them with counters and anthems. Use abilities like proliferate or backup to get that final push.
