Four artificers were at the bar one evening, talking shop. One claimed to be on the verge of a major breakthrough, a Servo capable of flight! Another was outraged, that was THEIR next big innovation! The third interrupted, "Nonsense! I'M inventing it right now, I even have the name!" The fourth was quiet, having also been on the brink of just such an innovation, but not wanting to tip his hand, and so proposed to the others: "Well it's only fair, whoever is first to actually create one gets the credit." They agreed, hurried back to their workbenches, and the race was on to invent the THOPTER.
A Bar Cube for Artificers
Like some other Bar Cubes, this cube has no shuffle effects, basic land station, or cards that use counters. Unlike some other Bar cubes, each player is given one Treasure, Clue, Food, Blood, Junk, and Servo token. When an effect instructs them to create a token, instead it creates any of their tokens not already in play. If they have all six, they instead create...a Thopter. A pile of Thopter tokens will be set aside for any player to pull from.
The cube is meant to be drafted in six packs of 10. With four drafters, the last two cards of each pack will be burned, with three drafters only the last card is lost. With two players, a modified Housman is recommended: Take all basics out of the public/drafted 81 card pool, and seed the players' starting decks of 45 cards with 3 of each Basic.
Good enough for now!
