The Jeskai Way

"The Jeskai Way admires the ancient dragon's aspect of cunning". The good old rock r paper w scissors u meta triangle formed of aggro, control & midrange (with some combo in the mix) is woven into the structure of this cube. This environment leads to fast, interactive & powerful gameplay. There is a lot of overlap in the cards choices, so many pieces slot in various decks, some of the most common archetypes are:

  • Tempo
  • Aggro
  • Control
  • Midrange
  • Twin
  • Sneak&Show
  • Copycat
  • Mono Brown

Cube Goals
  • Quick draft format for 2-4 experienced players (3x15).
  • Games are very interactive and fast. Every play & turn matters a lot.
  • Gameplay should emulate a Vintage-power environment.
  • This cube is for experienced players, who love high power levels & oldschool magic.
  • This Cube celebrates my favourite 3-color combination in magic.
Notes
  • Finished, a well drafted deck will look insane. So will your opponent's.
  • Some power disparity will derive from the "Power 9", but a good player can craft a deck that can take down the table without them.
  • Unfair decks usually have fair core-components with a como finish.
  • Cantrips, removal, counters & fast mana are the glue, that holds the most decks together.
  • The Mana is very good in this cube. There are close to 30 fixing lands for your manabase.
  • The drafting portion asks you to be aware of the environment.

This twobert is a blast to draft & play if you enjoy vintage magic. The draft portion is quite flexible. Games are very descision-heavy & challenging.
